Breastfeeding or Pumping

Just wanted to remind anyone that is planning on breastfeeding or pumping to check with your insurance company to see if you qualify for a free pump...I just found out I can get the Medela pump in style advanced starter kit for free!...sure wish I would have known that for my first baby.

I have Humana and my insurance let's me order one at 30 weeks I believe. @ashley6361 I have medicaid and I am not sure if they are free there, check your local health department though, as I was offered a rental from them. I'd rather just get one from my insurance tho!

I know this is for the U.S. but not sure about out of the country because its under the Affordable Healthcare Act. Search in Google "McKesson Patient Care Solutions" or "McKesson Breast Pump" they will let you know what your options are with your insurance. The number is 855x567x8669. Not sure if I can post the number so if it doesn't just do the search in google. These services go through Target and BabiesRUs
