Fasting

I have to fast 12 hrs for my gestational diabetes test & then wait 3 hrs til the test. Its been almost 2 hrs and im already hungry. I've been drinking a ton of water to help curb hunger but its only making it worse. Anyone else having trouble fasting.

It's awful but a necessary evil.  15 hours with no food while in your 3rd trimester is not easy, but try to keep yourself occupied.  My husband came with me for the blood work and we played cards during the 3 hours. It was super helpful. We also went out to eat to my favorite restaurant right after so it gave me something to look forward to.

I have my apt at 8am & they told me i couldn't eat after 8pm and i wouldn't be able to eat until after the 3 hr test.

They should have given u ur appt time 12 hrs before u start fasting usually they do it early in the morning i started fasting at 12 midnight and had my app at 8:15 am and thats what i thought i wasn't ganna be able to go that long without eating but the sugar drink they give u helps have something in ur stomach i guess
