Feverish & Nasal Congestion

I am at week 12 today and I am starting to feel feverish. I am starting to sneeze and I really feel like popping some medicine. Is there any home remedies that you would like to share with? I don't want to take any medicines/drugs as my mother told me that it's not good for the baby. Oh yeah, and I feel really cold too..

I'm just getting over a cold as well. Boil some water and pour it into a bowl, put one or two drops (no more) of eucalyptus essential oil in the water. Sit with your face over the bowl and a towel over your head and breathe in the steam for at least 10 minutes (or longer if you can stand it, I actually timed it when I did it). It will seriously start to release the congestion and at times I had snot dripping in the bowl but the longer you can stay under before blowing the better. Do this as many times a day as you can. The bathroom steaming can help as well this is just more concentrated and works better but has to be done multiple times a day.  My sister is a naturopathic doctor and also recommended an echinacea tincture for me that I think helped me kick the cold faster but I wouldn't want to take that if you are already taking something recommended by your doctor I don't think. Hope this helps some! It sure is miserable when you can't breathe :(

I was sick this week as well. For congestion  my husband ran the shower using only hot water and I sat on the toilet with the restroom door closed in a room full of warm steam. This not only released my chills but it also help with my stuffy nose. I hope this helps. I also hope you feel better. Being preggers AND sick is no bueno.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well.. I am fighting something off right now too.. and I have been to my regular dr and my ob dr and neither of them seem to want to help.. all they tell me is drink plenty of fluids and rest.. oh and take Tylenol. Really?? If I can't breathe how can I get proper rest? And Tylenol doesn't do anything!! So I have been suffering for 2 days! I hope you can get better advice and feel better soon!!
