Tested gbs positive was given antibiotics for three days and dr said ill need antibiotics through iv when i go into labor. ANyone else? Or anyone ever experience this before?

My results come out in my urine, dr said it means its colonized

I went to the ER for contractions at 26 weeks im 33 now and will be tested in a cuple of weeks when I'm 35weeks. If positive i will get antibiotics during delivery.

At what week did they test you? I don't get tested until 36wks

I almost whent into labor at 26weeks because i had that. Took the meds and at my next app (35weeks) i will be tested again if positive she said i will get an iv with med during delivery I'm not to worried since after the meds my contractions stoped. One tip drink lots of water. Good luck:)

I was positive with my firstborn, and I didn't have to take anything for it until I was in labor and even then it was just in my iv. Baby and I were both completely fine.
