HATE being pregnant

Right I am seeing this a lot so I apologise but I REALLY need to vent!

I hate, hate being pregnant. Sometimes I wonder what the shell I was thinking!

My life has changed completely. I am so bored and feel boring and can't wait until the pressure on being responsible for what I do to my body is over. At least when it's out responsibility on keeping it alive will be shared and sometimes....just sometimes, after September, I can hand that responsibility over and do what I like.

I do not know how I'm going to get to August. I want myself back, I feel hijacked and I never expected it!

Wish I had used a surrogate. This *****. I want my life back and 3 months 3 weeks still feels like a lifetime.

Wishing my life away until the end of August. God knows what I'll be like by then. I want to go out drinking and have fun. I want this baby out!!!!!!

My OH is out drinking and I'm blind with jealousy that he can still do that. Come Nov (give myself a month to look ok) I am going to be handing him that baby and off for the weekend. arrrggghhhh so effing long to go still help!!

Lthats unfortunate. I moments where I know if I wasn't preggo I could do something but you sound like you despise it and maybe the baby, too? Pregnancy is a beautiful thing.. You are creating life! Idk. I just hope you don't feel the way you do towards the baby once he or she gets here.

I was like you during my first pregnancy.....are you a young mother???? I was 22 with my first, and hated missing parties and going out with my friends/boyfriend....and I wasnt fun to be around if i forced myself to go out so I just stayed in. Now im 30, and its a little different.....Im enjoying this one much more, even though trust me, I miss the drinking, especially during hot days while laying on the beach, but my pregnancy is flying by....you will realize that it was all worth it once the baby is here!!! Try to keep yourself occupied to pass the time. Its really all you can do. Im sorry, I know its rough.....its only temporary!! And like you, I hate the changes to my body, but i lost all 34 lbs with my first in a matter or 3-4 weeks. Not bad. You will too!!!

Thank you, that's so reassuring it's unreal!

I don't despise the baby at all...it was planned...feeling very guilty for thinking these things and having moments of despair! I didn't think or know I would - I just do!

I am the only one of my friends pregnant and none of them have children so have no one to share it with.

I don't feel like this all the time, but it's overwhelming when I do and then guilt sets in and I feel worse...etc etc!

Really appreciate the empathy and to know I'm not the only one to have ever felt like this! You're totally right, it's temporary, and I know the reward at the end will make it 100 fold worth it.

Thank you x

I totally understand.. I'm pregnant with my second, it's a little easier this time but I really have a hard time not being able to do the things I am used to. I play a lot of sports and I've had to drop all of my hobbies... hubby cracks a beer after work and I just want to throw it across the room lol . Your not alone, don't feel guilty! Keep your head up :)

I understand you! I hate being pregnant this is my second and I can't wait to have my baby in august. Even with my first I hated being pregnant. I don't drink either way but I miss working out like I used too so much. I don't like feeling so uncomfortable all the time. I hate having to go pee multiple times a night and having back pain and all of it. Some women enjoy pregnancy others don't. I definintly don't.

I totally agree with clarkey79.. I personally know the struggles of being able to get pregnant and to hear you say how much you hate it is crazy to me! Granted lots of things in your life changes but its a way to prepare you for when your little one is here! Ooh you can't go out and drink.. who freaking cares! Grow up and value what you have growing inside of you! You say you planned your pregnancy you should've educated yourself before in what you have to give up in order to have a healthy baby!

Geeze you ladies are acting like you've never had a bad day! I highly doubt she feels like this all the time. It's entirely possible she was just having a bad day and needed to vent and this was the easiest thing to vent. Please try and be more understanding of other womens feelings instead of attacking them for their emotions. We all have our bad days.

Mhm, what mamaofdeux said. And i'd like to point out that even tho Becky and quite a few other women here crave for a night out and drinking, she hasn't. She cares about the health of her baby, so i'm sure the baby is loved by her. She could easily just say: screw this, and go drinking, smoking, ... whatever you can go do that would harm the baby, like many other women do, sadly. Let her blow of some steam this way then.

I don't hate being pregnant, but i can't say i enjoy every bit of it. Mainly the constant bit of fear in the back of my head that i might do something wrong that would harm the baby, or just something will go wrong just out of the blue. Whenever i eat a few mints, or some candy, or drink some ice tea green, or bend over (am i squishing the baby?), or maybe i am not eating enough veggies/fruit/fish... Or when the baby has a calmer few hours/day than i'm used to, i get scared that maybe he's not ok, or when my stomach hurts a bit...

Every ultrasound tho my baby is doing great, and i have no real reason to be scared. But as much i enjoy having a big belly and the strange feeling of him kicking around in there, i'll be happy when he's born and can SEE he's alright, whenever i want.  I don't drink alcohol, or go out much, and i have cfs so i'm used to be limited in what i can do, or pain etc. For me it's that constant irrational fear that stresses me out...
