Losing mucus plug already?

I'm only 25w and 3d, but for the past week, like every other day, I'll look in the toilet and there will be a quarter sized glob of what looks like thick yellow mucus. I've already seen my doctor and tested positive for the fetal fibronectin test, could this be a sign of preterm labor or just normal vaginal discharge??

I had a similar scare doctor said add long as the mucus didn't have any blood and/or was accompanied by cramps its normal. I'm a ftm so I was kinda freaking out. But thank God everything looked good.

Thanks everyone. I went to L and D the other day and cervix was closed and baby was completely fine, and no infections.  They had no explanation for the type of discharge I was having so I figured I would get some opinions on here.

Go to your ob and have them check you internally that way you know if your going into labor or not.

I think it's normal discharge, I have the same thing and had it with my first baby also.

I dont know if everyones mucus plug looks different...but mine couldnt be mistaken for any discharge. It was at least size of my fingerprint, white/clear jelly piece. Mine came out 48hours before my second child was born when I was wiping myself in bathroom. I never noticed the mucus plug with my first born.
