Yucky question about poop :(

Hello Ladies! I have an odd (possible TMI) question....I turn 33 weeks tomorrow, and for the past couple of days I have had very loose stools at least twice a day. This whole pregnancy I was so constipated, so this is creeping me out a bit! I heard that before you go in to labor your body purges and cleans itself out.... But it is too soon! I have an appt with my OB tom, but I'd love to hear from you guys! Wishing all a safe delivery!

Ahhh good input from an OB! I was thinking that too since our intestines are pushed upwards.

Well I'm happy that I'm not alone!! I asked my OB today and she said it is because the baby's head is lower, freeing up some space and also because of our metabolism changing. She said its normal at this stage of the game. Whew!

I'm guessing it has something to do with the hormones with increased muscle contraction. But I could be wrong lol just an educated guess!

I made a post just like yours and I have to agree with previous person. I expected the clearing out to be right before labor happens. Guess not for us ladies!
