We actually did it before getting pregnant as we were going thru fertility treatments and the doc recommended it.  Both parents have to be a carrier to have any real risk, my testing came back negative for everything so hubby didn't even have to do it. Nice peace of mind.

I opted out of the tests for two reasons - my insurance doesn't cover them and there have never been any abnormalities on either side of the family for both my boyfriend and I.

I wasn't going to but husband wanted to because of problems on his side of the family.  I wanted the harmony test done too but doctor said I could not get it as I was not advanced maternal age.

I actually had my blood drawn today for it. I took the Harmony test because my doctor recommended it due to my age (35).I know insurance covers it if you're over 35 or have a history of chromosomal abnormalities in the family.
