Sad news

Bc of increasing health problems I have to get my cat euthanized in two hours. I've had him for 18 years...I'm very upset about it but my question is should I be in the room or not? I don't want to cause anymore stress on my twins.

You should be there, he might want a familiar face to see..

I'm sorry to hear this, I love my older cat and would be devastated but I would want to be in the room for sure for kitties comfort , it's already scary for them to go to the vet so it'll be very comforting if you are there holding her

I would be in the room for those final moments. They need you. I went through this twice last year and it was horrible, but it's nice when their family is with them the final moments.

I have a 16 year old boy cat, he was my baby before my now 10 year old daughter was my baby. I know his days are numbered, but there's no way to prepare for it. I know I'll be a disaster, I can only imagine how you're feeling. Good luck, hugs, and prayers.

So sorry to hear your sad news, they are a part of the family and only you know what's best. I suspect either way it'll be hugely upsetting.
