Swollen feet/ankles: tips?

I've had swollen feet once in awhile past month, but it was more an exception and it went away quite easily. Until past few days (38-39w): if my feet are down (sit, stand, walk) they swell up, balloon size with 5 little sausages where my toes are meant to be. It doesn't just look horrible, it's uncomfortable too. And just putting them up doesn't seem enough anymore to get rid of it (it gets a bit less during the night, but not enough).

Does anyone have some tips to help the swelling go down faster? An perhaps even prevent the swelling somewhat?

Soaking them in Epsom salt in Luke warm water helps.
Stay hydrated and make sure when elevating your feet at or above your heart

Problem is i also have bad reflux/acid that gets me to gag (and sometimes throw up), and a position good for my feet is bad for my reflux, and vice versa *sigh*.

Soak your feet in warm water and epsom salts and then elevate them. Don't just put them up while you sit, lay down and put them up higher than the rest of your body. Watch your salt intake and increase your water intake.
