Fast breathing

I just had my baby a week ago and I've noticed that she breathes heavy and fast at times.  Is this normal?

I would get her in To See her pediatrician asap just to be safe. It could be nothing but you never know. My cousin had her little boy and brought him home as if everything was fine. Noticed that he was not breathing right about a week an a half after she had him and called and took him to his pediatrician they listen to him and could immediately tell that something was not right. Sent them straight to cardinal Glennon and come to find out he was born with not all the chambers to his heart. He had several open heart surgeries and lived to be 7 years old. She had Cameron 2 weeks before I had my first son. While I was having my son in the adjoining hospital get son 2 weeks old was getting his first open heart surgery. My son is 18 now. I'm not at all trying to scare you.. again it could be nothing. Please just call doc and get her in.

I had my baby 3 weeks ago and sometimes my baby does this as well. She only does it when she's sleeping and looks like she's dreaming or something so I'm not worried. If your baby looks like they have trouble breathing, then I would ask the doc.
