Has anyone been diagnosed with GBS

I had it with my last pregnancy. You get antibiotics in an IV every four hours that you are in the hospital in labor. If you are going to be induced they will start the antibiotics before they start the inducement.

My doctor tested me for this when I was 34/35 weeks. I tested positive for GBS. So during labor, they will be putting antibiotics through my IV so the baby won't get infected. It's not harmful for the mom as 25% of women "carry" them in the intestine/ vagina/ rectum area but in some cases, it could affect the baby. Hence the added antibiotics during labor. Hope this helps.
