Aww good...im glad i couldd help
Awh I'm so sorry for his loss. I really do thank you a lot, that made me feel wayy better now that I have a better understanding.
My boyfriend has the trait and his mother had the diease. From what i kno about it is tht if the person has the diease then yes ur baby will have the Trait. But the father and mother both have to have the trait to pass the diease onto the child. But if ur boyfriend jus has the trait and u dnt have the trait thn ur baby is finee. His mother past away from the diease about two years ago now.I talked alot about it to my doc because i jus like u was very concerned for my baby. It is a very sad sad thing and my boyfriend mother was often n pain. I wish u & ur family the best.
Yes my aunt had it but she passed away! It's a disease that brought her much much pain! It was days I've witnessed the pain that brought me to tears. She was hospitalized for months at a time. Sickle cell crisis is nothing to play with. I wouldn't wish that on no child. It's unbearable. Wish u the best!
Oh well, so even if he has the disease the child won't get the trait.
As far as I understand, you both have to be carriers in order for your child to have it. I have had students with Sickle Cell, and the exhaustion they experience is unreal.
