when is a good time ?

When is it a good time to find a pediatrician also when should I make a birth plan? I am 26 weeks today, & I haven't bought my baby anything except for 3 pairs of clothes, changing table. I wanna wait til my baby shower July 4 to see what else I'll need. If there's anything else I should be doing please let me know this is my first pregnancy.

You can also add things like not wanting to labor in bed and getting up and walking, pain management, also who you would like in the room for support. also when you want to actually go to the hospital. For me depending on how far I dilate towards the end of my pregnancy I want to do most of my laboring at home then go to the hospital. I have a bit of a drive for 15 to 20 minutes so my plan has to be timed correctly and with doctors approval for safety.

Honestly it's a good idea to have. I didn't have one with my first. Do your research and figure out what you want to have done and what you dont. Plus plan for a vaginal or csection just incase your plan doesn't work out. Just makes the whole process easier. I know I am definetly having one this time!!

Now is a good time to make your birth placennd I'd say now is a good time until birth to find a pediatrician. I'm waiting until my baby shower too June 27th. I'm 26 weeks too. Just hired my doula yesterday and I am going to work on a birth plan now. I need to talk to my OB about a pediatrician since I'd like a referral from him. He doesn't seem in a rush for me to choose so I'm not very concerned.
