I'm due the 5th of August and I just had an appt yesterday! Our midwife doesn't check my cervix at every appt, since it doesn't really do anything to tell when labor is going to start. She said she has seen women walk around at 5cm dilated for four weeks before the baby came...! She also has seen where a woman's cervix was still long and narrow but called in 4 hours later fully dialated!

Your baby will come when he/she is ready! If you can make it the full 40 weeks that's always the best! (I'm 39 weeks today and can hardly wait myself... I totally understand!)

Exactly so happy to see this. Everyone so concerned of checking the dilation but doesn't mean anything. Just really placing more germs up there that shouldn't be

I am due on the 5th of august i am 2cm dilated and 70%. I have another check up tomorrow to see if anything has changed but soon enough he will be here it's basically in the baby's hands so to say they will come when ready. I have been told by the ob that first times usually go past there due date.  Good luck though. I read so many moms trying to rush the baby out at 37wks which I don't understand. Stay strong he will be here sooner then you know.
