Drinking Coffee in opregnancy should not pose a problem as long as it is kept under 200-300mg a day (which is classed as light consumption)

Just as a guide this is the approx content of some products

Instant coffee - 80-90mg
Espresso - 100mg
Black tea - 40mg
Cola drinks (1 can) - 20mg
Chocolate and hot chocolate beverages aklso contain caffeine, but in small amounts.

The danger period for large consumption is really in the first trimester when the risk of miscarriage is high.  So enjoy your daily cup or two ; )

Yeah, in moderation it's OK...I used to drink 3-4 of the 24oz. diet Pepsi's/day and now drink and little 8oz. can about every other day.......Mostly to avoid the withdrawel headaches that come with cutting it out completely....Although I did have a big Iced Tea with dinner tonight!  oops!

My headaches were getting more frequent during my second trimester.  I discussed this with my doctor.  He told me to start having a little caffeine to help with the headaches.  Before he told me this i didn't  have a drop of caffeine.  I think anything in moderation is okay...just don't go crazy =)

I was told 2 caffeine drinks a day are okay.  Every doctor is different though.

A little bit is ok. I drink 3 cups of coffee in the morning. My doctor told me that is fine. Your doctor may tell you something different as all doctors are different.
