Decreasing HCG levels

I went to the doc on Tues and from the date I believe was first day of LMP I should have been 6wks but on the u/s it was only showing about 5 wks.  I had blood taken on both Tues and Thurs.  Yesterday when I called for my results allthey said was the my hcg levels decreased and I was most likey going to miscarry.  I miscarried in November, I just don't feel it.  Am I being naive??? Has anyone heard of someone having a healthy child after intially having decling hcg levels.

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage(s).  I went through the same thing last year.  My hcg levels continued to rise but not at a 'normal' rate.  I had a 5 week sac that didn't change and no fetus was visible.

I know women who have had multiple miscarriages who have babies now.  Keep trying and try to remain hopeful.  Your time/baby will come!

Unfortunately last Tues my ultrasound showed no changes, sac was the same size and no fetus.  Wed. I began to miscarry and I had  a d and c on Thurs.  I wish u a better outcome.

hi, i have the same problem, if you based my pregnancy on the first day of my LMP (Feb 22) I should be more than 10 weeks now but last monday my US showed the baby didn't grow and only 6 weeks 1 day, but US it was 6 weeks 4 days, i dnt understand why its inconsistent. if its not growing it should stay on 6 weeks 4 days. I did my test in dubai and dr said i will miscarry, but i need a second opinion and went back to philippines to see a doctor, tomorrow is my appt, i am still hoping hoping to hear my baby's heartbeat and grows. I also a cyst measuring 6.6cmx3.5cm. I am really scared. But you know what i dont feel any cramping, no bleeding or spotting, that's it my question.

Good Luck hun, I do hope you get good news, just FYI, my US at 5 weeks 3  days showed a empty sac measuring only at less then 5 weeks, had new US today and finally saw the baby and heart beat, and now measuring at 6W and 1 day (right on target) so as I just learned there are still things wrong with US when that early, was told I had a blighted Ovum, well now I have a baby and perfect size sac, I will pray you get good news too!!!

I really think you will be OK . Just try to be not so anxious. I had PMP in January 09 and know a person can cope with anth if wishes. BE STRONG!
