Fetal Movement & Twins

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this too. My fraternal twins (boy/girl) have had very different fetal movements this past week. My girl feels like she's cage fighting while my boy is hardly moving at all. I was so concerned about his lack of movement that I phoned my DR and was told to drink OJ and lay on my left side, that got him going somewhat. I was just wondering if any of you pg with twins have had this same issue?

We are currently getting the 3D/4D pics for free since I'm considered high risk. I highly recommend to wait until you are 25-27 weeks because before then they look like aliens.  Sorry but it's true.  My DH and I disliked watching them that way until last week when they looked "normal".  At this point I can tell you that it gives you so much more detail than the regular US.  We can see their fingers and face features.  It's really awesome.

Hi Lorane,

I have the same issue (g/g fraternal twins).  Baby A moves a lot more than Baby B.  During our last US (Thursday 8/26) baby A was really streching her entire body to the point that she kept kicking baby B.  Baby B was curled up in a ball and you could barely see her.  One is defenitely more dominant than the other.  I felt so bad for baby B and wanted to help her but I just can't.  Even on the 3D/4D pics you can see baby B's face and also baby A's feet on baby B forehead.  The MD did not say this was wrong, normal for twins.  I hope this helps!

Hi there!  I have asked our surrogate about that -- she said the one that was on the bottom (which we now think is our boy) was much more active and she could feel him a lot more.  Our girl was always moving more on past u/s.  We had an u/s on Thursday and the heart beats, and everything else looked great.  I think it is pretty common for one to move more than the other.  We have always noticed a difference between them.  Sounds like your doc isn't worried..but it sounds like a pretty common thing...good luck with them!  So exciting!
