Many drugs create different reactions in different people. I have found nurses to be some of the most unhelpful in regard to questions. Not all are, just some. (I have a very good friend who's a nurse) Hopefully it will go away soon! I remember how awful it was for me. Hang in there!
Jadedsweetheart - Yeah, I have no tolerance for any of that stuff...and am a lightweight when it came to drinking as well (pre-pregnancy of course) I mostly throw up in the mornings so it would do no good to take any of these medicines!! I'm glad the Reglan made you sleepy as well b/c one of the nurses I talked to tried to tell me she didn't know why I got knocked out since no one else ever does (meanie face) but the doc was a little more understanding!! I have been throwing up for 6 days straight...maybe it's peeking and will go away soon?
Oh yes, phenergen does knock you out if you don't have the ridiculous tolerance to nearly all meds that I do. I forget about that often! I tried the reglan and it made me somewhat sleepy and irritated at the same time. I was so annoyed at myself, lol.
Jadedsweetheart - thanks, good to know there are others in the same sit! My doc said that if the Reglan knocked me out then the phenegran would probably do the same ;-(
I'm SO sorry you're still having M/S and not being able to keep anything down. I have heard good things from a lot of women about Zofran. The biggest problem is that it's expensive and some insurances don't cover it. I tried it but for 6 pills it was $85. I am taking phenergen occasionally now for my M/S. I threw up once the other day, but that was the first time in a week. I know how bad severe M/S ***** and I hope you feel better.
I'm 14 weeks 6 days today! Still pretty sick :-( My doc appt went okay yesterday, I have not gained a single pound and they are now Officially watching my weight. They're going to see me in about 2 weeks and see if I've gained anything and if not they are going to measure my tummy and make sure I'm on track. Then they'll do an ultrasound at 20 weeks and if still no weight gain they'll have to probably do a few more u/s but she said just as long as the baby is on track it doesn't matter. In the meantime I am to eat something small every two hours. She prescribed me Zofran and I've heard good things, but she didn't really act like she felt comfortable wiht it and that made me uncfortable so I turned it down and she seemed relieved and came up with the every two hours thing!! She also said that at this point she just wants to see me gain 20 pounds in this pg but that it may not happen and that I may not gain any weight :-( I think I might go the other way and gain a lot lol! But I do at least have a little bump going on!!
I'm 14 weeks today (Thursday) and I have more good days and my bad days are not so bad anymore. Yesterday I noticed my feet and ankles swelling a little bit, which I didn't think happened so soon but I think the super humid 90+ degree day had a lot to do with that!! I have been able to listen to baby's heartbeat with our at home doppler and that is just awesome!! We go July 1st to find out the sex...I'm thinking girl now, who knows!! I have told most of the people I work with this week about everything and everyone is so excited!!
Im still feeling sick and tired but its all worth it when i see my lil one, i had the NT scan on tuesday and everything is fine which is great the ultrasound photos look great. Im currently 12 weeks and 4 Days :)
Im still tired and starting to get huge but that is all that is new with me. Just trying to stay calm until our next appointment on June 22. My ultrasound to find out the sex is not unti July 16. Arrg, I don't know if I can wait that long.
First of all I got say..that is great that your work is so accomodating!!! Wouldn't it be nice if every company was so great like that!!
ok.. So I am 15wks today!! I feel good! I am getting a big belly! Definitely noticable now! according to baby center I now have to apple size babies! ;) I went and bought a bathing suit over the weekend, yikes! haha. =) I am getting slight cramps if I sit at my desk to long, so I have been "trying" to get up more and walk around a little. I also finding it uncomfortable to sleep some nights, my hip muscles hurt! Other than that doing great!! =)
I am anxiously waiting to find out what we are having on July 12th!! I think it's two boys...we will see! =)
Hello Everyone!!!! Had a good week (since we last checked in). I'm 11 weeks complete today- start week 12 tomorrow. Morning sickness none. Weight gain 4 lbs. I see the RE tomorrow morning and I see my new OBGYN next Tueday. I was supposed to see my old OBGYN last Thursday but when I got there I was told that they didn't take my insurance. I called the RE and he referred me to someone else who apparently is loved by everyone and is extremely busy. We shall see how the first visit goes, but I am seeing the nurse practioner on the first visit.
I told my work on Monday- I was feeling good so I went for it. My boss is extremely happy and told me I can work from home during and after the babies get here. Later that day the president from my company called me to tell me not to worry and the more we talked we found out that he and his wife had used the same RE that I had. We compared notes since they also had fraternal twins. He was very compasionate and said that will need to get lots of rest and that they would work with me. That was pretty cool.
Life is good and babies are good. We go to the RE and see the kids tomorrow. Hope everyone is well.
15w2d- Everyday is a surprise with regards to morning sickness, some days there is nothing and other days it is back with a vengeance. My belly is definitely visible and I have started feeling small movements. I was hoping I would fell the baby sooner this time around ^_^
Anyway. I posted in my "Haven't seen a doctor" post about finally getting to see a doctor and getting my first real ultrasound where we got to see the baby for more than a minute and got pictures. The baby was wiggling and squirming all around. So cute! We were just entranced watching the screen. Other than that, things are going well for the most part. We're very happy that it looks like this pregnancy is going to make it!
WifeofAnt- I hate that your husband's deployment schedule isn't looking good. I wish there was something they did for Dads of the Armed Forces to make it so they can stay stateside for at least the first year. I know I commented before, but I wanted to reiterate that I, and many other Americans, appreciate the sacrifices you and your family make for our country.
WannaBMamma- That is awesome about your boss being so great to you!
Jhopeful- I've been feeling huge, I only have one in there, but I have been getting the slight cramps too and have to move around or rub the belly. I do enjoying rubbing my belly, lol.
I wish a great and healthy week to all of us.
