I like to either melt some chocolate chips with milk (to make a sort of easy fondue) or buy the chocolate fruit dip to get my bananas down. I don't normally like them, but they have so many benefits that I just add some chocolate and that's usually pretty good.
I have also heard that lack of potassium can cause charlie horses, and bananas also have potassium.
I hope you find something that works! Charlie horses are awful. I used to get them all the time.
I have had leg cramping this pregnancy and last. Enough to send me out of my bed in pain through the night. The worst is when my quad and hamstring or calf and shin cramp at the same time. I am taking chewable calcium and adding bananas and drinking water... still here they are. Better but it's a long way to go still
Thanks, i ended up calling the RE to ask if they know how to stop this and they also told me i must not be getting enough calcium, to supplement if i dont eat enough if it in my diet.
I even ate a banana today...it wasnt good, but if it will stop the leg cramps i am willing to try it ! Got some chewable calcium tablets too :)
If i drink anymore water im going to have to start wearing depends !
also make sure you are well hydrated. mild dehydration can lead to more cramping..
I get them and my RE told me to take calcium supplements. I also eat a banana daily. Combination seems to be working.
I get them a lot wen move to fast and wen I laying on couch not in sleep I don't think if I do I be sleeping to hard to know
What are charley horses? I am guessing cramps in the calf muscles.
i heard bananas help...wish i could stomach them !
guess i will just do stretches before i sleep...i feel goofy stretching my legs before i sleep...like i am going to a jog
I'm not getting them but I eat a lot of bananas.
