Sharing a room with the baby?

So I was looking forward to decorating my sons room so him and his little brother or sister could share a room but now My husband and I decided that we will share a room with the baby till the baby can sleep through the night since my son will be 7 when his little brother or sister comes and in 1st grade where he will need his sleep for school. But now I feel like I am cheated on decorating, so my questions is, is anyone else sharing there room with the baby, do you have any decorating ideas? I live in a small house, my room is not much bigger that my queen size bed, a baby bed and a dresser.

Now I do know we will be moving when the baby is between 6 months and a year if it is a girl. If it is a boy we might rent this house longer but we think we need a bigger house.

We have a small house too. We are planning on sharing our room for the first few month because it will just be easier in the middle of the night. You are smart not to put the kids together to soon. My friend made that mistake and everytime the baby cried, her son would get up and refused to go back to sleep. She had an aweful time until she seperated them. The decorating will come sooner or later. It may be better later because you will probably have more money and time to put into it.
My other friend shared her room as well and she had mirror type doors in her room. She turned the closet (as small as it was) into her nursery. It was so cute. She had to take the doors off the closet of course. You should go to babies are us...they are really good with decore ideas.

We're going to be sharing a room for at least 15 months (one bedroom apartment for 3 months then renting from my parents for a year while DH is deployed).  I'm not really much of a decorator but I doubt I'll be inviting people into my room.  If I don't care and the baby doesn't care and people stay on their side of my bedroom door I don't see it as an issue.

And our Babies R Us is an hour and a half drive!

That is a good idea but we have a small closet too, it has a place to hang clothes on two sides but not wide enough for a crib, and there are no doors on any of the closets here, believe it or not the closest babiesrus store is 3 hours away.
