Skipping a meal?

I am 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant and this morning I ate maybe half of my oatmeal and some cantaloupe for breakfast and snacked on a few peices of chocolate (that seems to help the m/s). I started to get hungry at 10-11, but it was impossible for me to eat at that time, I ended up having to wait an hour or two to eat my cup of yogart (I take lunch at 1:30) so this is my mid-morning snack. My question is will waiting to eat hurt my baby? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but there are times when eating is impossible.

Jennlaurin80 - Thanks for the advice, I have trouble eating nuts though, I can't seem to get them down smootly lol!! Might try it though Thank you so much for the advice!!

Connorethansmom - I drink 8, 8 ounce glasses of water everyday and at least some milk or v8 juice so I think I'm doing good with the hydration!! I just couldn't get to the fridge at work due to workers and equipment in the way!! I normally only throw up in the early morning or in the late afternoon, and I always eat after I get sick to make sure I'm getting food in, I just worried that maybe not eating for a few hours might damage something. THank you for the reasuring advice!!

Yep, I think you are only hurting youself, like 1angelbabyM said.  I would really focus on just staying hydrated though if you can't find time to eat.  That for me is really hard.  I know when I was so sick with my previous two that they said, I looked horrible, but the baby looked great!

when i work its hard to get time to eat as much as i need to so that i dont feel nausea, which is like every hour. So i carry almonds in a ziplock in my pocket and munch on them...they help for nausea, and have loads of nutrients. I read this online which is why i eat almonds like crazy now that im pregnant.
One teeny ounce of almonds contains 12 percent of your daily allowance of protein. And absolutely no cholesterol. You'll also get 35 percent of your daily allowance of vitamin E, that valuable antioxidant with so many cancer-fighting qualities. And most of the fat in almonds is monounsaturated, also known as the "good" fat.

This little nut is also loaded with minerals like magnesium, phosphorus and zinc, as well as lots of healthy fiber. And don't forget calcium and folic acid - they're in there too!

As long as you do eat, you should be fine.  I think waiting to eat only hurts momma and the morning sickness...at least that's what happens to me, LOL!!
