Yeah I went with Jackson too. Mine is Lesley and everyone spells it Leslie.
Sometimes if it's not important I just let them do it.

I too went with Jackson. I have lived a life with the name Kele (Kelly)...do you know how many times I have to correct people on what my name is? I finally gave up and respond to anything that sounds close...

I voted for Jackson. My name is Cheryl-Lee and nobody ever gets it right. Whats more my mother would never let anyone call me Cheryl so I am still anal about getting people to call me by my full name.

I voted Jaxson, because it's a unique spelling and IMO it's not hard to tell how to say it. They're all cute, I say spell it however you like best. Try writing them out a few times and see which one feels right to you, it'll always feel right to him because it's his name and from day one it'll be spelled the same.

My first name is Danielle. And I hate it, I've always gone by Nicole, which is my middle name. In school people always said Danielle wrong, and it's not hard at all. I can't tell you how many times I've been called Daniel, Danelle, Daniel-lee, or Dani-elle. In elementary school I actually went by Dani, which I love and think is cute, but it was never spelled right. By middle school I just gave up and went with Nicole. So if you ask me...any name can be completely butchered. And sometimes, I think a crazy spelling of a name only makes it easier on people to say. The only reason I resorted to going by my middle name is because I never really felt like a Danielle. lol. I hated it, it wasn't me. So I think go for the spelling you like because either way Jaxon, Jackson, Jaxson, or even Jaksen is going to get you the same name, and people are always going to spell your name wrong. Even with a common household name.

Either way is great.. I definantly see the points of others and silly spelled names. As a young kid I went by CARI (aka Kari, Kary, Carrie, etc) no one ever got it right.. So I decided to revert to my legal name in high school which was more complicated, but very uniquie and I love it. Caralea!! Pronounced (Care-a-LEE).

I did very simple with my son's name, but may not if we have a girl for this baby... we're looking into naming her MarLea (like mommy's unique spelling). But still wont know till 8/10.

Jackson is cool or being called Jax- would be cool too. Your kid will make their own choices as they get older on how they want to be know. Spelled "correct" or not.. good luck!!

I say spell it how you really want.  My son is Connor.  We looked up the most common way to spell Connor before we decided how to spell it.  We wanted something simple since his last name is crazy long and he will be spelling it for the rest of his life.  Well... we STILL have to spell his first name and people are always putting it Conner instead of the "or"  so it really doesn't matter.  And to think we really thought about it and looked it up before we decided how to spell.

I love Jackson, and people could call him Jack which is also super cute (if you are ok with shortening names).  My husband was talking about Kessandra for a girl -- she would ALWAYS have to spell it and pronounce it for people..what a pain!!!  I said if we were going that route, it would be Cassandra ...which is what people would expect.

I am with happynifer..I get people asking me if it's spelled Jennipher ...ph ...are you kidding me?!!?

It's just one more thing a kid has to deal with in being different... a unique name is super, but I think spelling it in a confusing way will only add trouble to them in school, etc.  Just my .02 ..good luck with your little guy!!!!

I have to agree with happynifer, my husbands name is Jason and I have a friend in Arizona who spells his name Jasyn. Which makes it hard for almost everyone. Jackson is such a cute name too.

i really dislike weird spellings of more common names.
heck now people ask me how to spell jennifer because there are so many odd ball spellings out there .....
just confusing for everyone and your child will spend the rest of his life correcting the spelling of his name...
