Had an ultrasound at 35w 1d. Baby measuring in at a conservitive 5p 14oz. I am on track for a nice 7-8 pounder which is just wonderful after my last bub being 10pound+. I have gained 8kgs this pregnancy which I am incredibly happy about, considering the last was about 15kgs. Thats about 18pounds as opposed to 32pounds. I havnt really had too many fluid problems just some at the end of the day. I am just so HOT.... We are heading into summer here and it has been a wet muggy spring.
Babys room is still not organised. Waiting for tradesman is the pits. We have builders working here on the outside of house but still waiting on painters for the inside. I have been stocking up on baby essentials each week with the groceries and the cradle/bassinet is set up next to our bed.
DH has gone away this weekend fishing with the boys. He is so cute, it was kind of last minute and he actually asked for my permission. He has phoned 3 times already and it has not even been 24 hours. I told him it was perfect timing to get away for two days because its not too close to D-Day.
DS1 and DS2 have a bit of a summer cold so I took them out to hire kids DVD's and we are just hanging out in our pj's watching movies. Just kicking back waiting for baby to arrive which I am guessing will be soon.
Last couple of days I have had very loose bowls and lots of almost painful BH. My back hurts and I am liable to start crying at the thought of anything remotely sad/happy/frustrating etc.....
36 weeks tomorrow! Had an ultrasound on tuesday and Alexander was at 6lbs 9oz according to the ultrasound. He's growing, growing and growing! 3 weeks and 1 day until scheduled c-section and I can't wait (: I just want to have my baby. I can't sleep as much at night and the pressure I feel is so uncomfortable! I started seeing my Dr 2x a week starting at 32 weeks for NST and regular checkups and everything has been showing normal! Everything has been great except that for the last 3 days the pressure has decided to stay and not go away :/ other than that I'm so ready to have this baby! Hospital and diaper bag are in the pickup already so if baby decides to come, he can go right ahead (: but if he can wait 3 more weeks, I'm more than happy for that too!
MarLea's Heart Rate was 145, the Fundal height was 35 weeks and I am currently 34 weeks, my blood pressure was normal and was the urine test was clean (no protein/sugars). I gained 1lb back again.. so -6lbs for the whole pregnany! I am feeling very blessed.
The chiropractor has seemed to help- 2 visits down already. I am recommended to go 3x a week for 4 weeks, then we'll see what MarLea is up to after that.
I wish I didn't work, it might make this a little bit easier! That would be hard with another child to be in pain and miserable. I still can't believe they won't see you until Dec.1!! You could have her by then!! I would think they would really watch you closley since you are a VBAC, just so they have an idea of when everything is going to start. It's weird how different each doctor is from the next.
I don't work, I have a two year old, and I stayed in bed 85% of yesterday...didn't do a darn thing around the house, my house is a mess right now! I wish I was seeing the dr every week so I could get checked and tell her I'm ready to be done cause the pelvic/pubic/hip/lower abdomen pain is NOT fun and it's making me miserable. I can't do cr@p. I want to go shopping, I want to clean, I want to get my hospital bag packed (still haven't), I want to finish the baby's room, and have fun with my son for as long as I can before he's no longer an only child (I'm feeling a little, ok a lot guilty cause he's such a momma's boy and I'm afraid of him feeling left out.) I want to do so much, and the energy is just not there with the anemia and all the rest of it...I just want to be done with pregnancy so I can have my daughter and my son and be able to function again...this pregnancy has been SOOOO different than the one with my son.
OMG, I really hope I can talk him into taking her on Monday cause the pain it awful!! My lower belly cramps feel like my worst ever period cramps times 1000 and radiate around my back and down my legs but doesn't go away...it is a constant and I don't know if I can handle this super hard belly. I just want to stay home and lay in bed all day long!! I only have to make it 7.5 more hours today and then I'm off work until Monday.
I'm so jealous! I don't see my dr again until Dec 1, and I'm so stinkin uncomfortable!!
Well I'm 37 weeks today and I spent yesterday at the doctors office with contractions and crampy pain. The contractions stunk because they were mostly back contractions that hurt like heck! I still have not dialated but I have continued to thin since my last appt. Doctor said if I were a little further a long, he would just send me to the hospital and get the show on the road but he wants to wait a little longer. I'm feeling a little better today. I still have period like cramps that get much worse the more I move; they radiate from my lower belly around to my lower back. My stomach has been rock solid since the night before last and wont soften up...like I'm stuck in a super long BH. I also still have the pressure on mu butt like I have to go to the bathroom and that won't go away either. It is very painful and very uncomfortable. My weekly appt is tomorrow and my doctor wanted me to keep it even though he saw me yesterday. He thinks it could either be a possible bladder infection (should know results today) or the very early part of labor. I'm really hoping this gets better soon or she just decides to come because I don't know how much more of this I can take...it is so painful!
smjmekg - WOW puppies are fun, you sure do have your hands full! Hope every thing goes right, you're the other one still planning on a VBAC right? The pain by then hopefully will be nice and tame giving you a smooth delivery!!
I am 34 weeks today!!! WOO HOO. I seen the chiropractor today and was really nervous. They spent over an hour with me going over everything and making sure I was comfortable and felt relaxed. The adjustment was a little akward at first- but the intense massage afterwards was freaking awesome. I have 3x a week appointments for the next 4 weeks and I have been told I am a great canidate for the hip/back pain to be relieved with before my baby is here. That is 7 weeks on my schedule 6 if your count due date. LOL
I dont know for sure if I can say it would be good for you as well smjmekg, but it sure cant hurt!! Even after baby is here. I have been told by my midwife and several others that the chirorpractor is awesome!! So far am I all for it and ready to have a nice, relaxing VBAC!!
Tomorrow is my OB appointment.. I am always 1 day on the weeklies before my appointments. I will come back tomorrow and update and changes. Wondering about weight, size and anything else.
Also, my 2nd oldest niece (18yrs old) had her baby boy Chryson Jade on Sat 11/13. She and her boy friend unfortunatly live in another state- so I have not seen him yet. She is the first girl to go of the 12 people I know in my life who are pregnant. My sister-in-law will be next!
Lots of luck to all of you ladies on d-day, since I will probably be one of the last ones to have my baby. =D
34 1/2 weeks.
measuring a full 10 days ahead based on my belly with the midwife yesterday.
last US on tuesday next week.
my pelvis hurts too so i've stopped working out this week.
officially start maternity leave on 12/8 and i can't wait...i'm freaking HUGE!
also got told i can no longer wear socks at my appointment yesterday...support hose for me...bleah..gotta love edema :)
I'm starting week 35. Saw my OB yesterday and she's really happy that I've made it this far without complications with twins. If the girls decide to come (not likely) sooner they will not stop delivery at this time. I now go for NST tests every four days, OB every two weeks and growth US every four weeks. I have my next US tomorrow and really looking forward to it since I get to find out their weight for this month and I also want to check to see if they have hair. Just curious.
I am feeling lots of pain in my pelvic region. IT HURTS I tell you. Making it hard to walk, sit, laydown. I have acid reflux went from Tums to Pepcid AC. I have a hard time sleeping as well.
I gained 5 lbs in the last two weeks, total weight gain is 30lbs. I'm okay with that considering there are two babies.
I am still working from home since my employer asked me to continue instead of going on maternity leave last Friday. Sounded nice at the time, my full paycheck until I deliver but it's getting harder each day. Yikes!!!!!
Other than that things are good. It will be raining this weekend in So Cal. I plan to stay on my couch for most of the weekend. I am also NOT cooking for Thanksgiving. Will be going over my cousins for Thanksgiving lunch and MIL for dinner (not sure about dinner since she doesn't cook).
Hope everyone is well.
smjmekg: WOW 5 puppies- you sure will be busy. Let us know who the pappa is! Would love to see the pics.
Wow, congrats on the new puppies! You're going to have your hands full with new baby and puppies!
I don't have too many updates this week. My Dr didn't measure whether I'm dilated or not last week, so I guess it'll be this Friday at my 36 week appt when she does the group B strep test. Been feeling more BH contractions and my back is starting to hurt more often and heartburn is as bad as ever. Thankfully I'm still able to go to the gym once a week and take walks on the rest.
36 weeks!
smjmekg - I'm sorry you hurt. I remember that feeling with my daughter. I haven't felt the hurting at all this time. Occasional pain in my hips, but overall still feel really good.
28 Days until my due date. We have the paper chain for the kids to help count down with and they are getting excited. Have my 36 week appt. tomorrow and hope to see some more progress. Last time I was still at 2cm and 50% so surely something has happened in the last 4 weeks? We'll see!
I am exhausted again and don't want to do much but sleep. I still have a lot of things to finish before he comes, still not packed for the hospital (about 1/2 way done), and just not feeling the rush yet. We'll talk induction tomorrow I think. They will let me go 1-1.5 weeks after, but I think the 22 would be good.
