Thank you ladies for your advice. I'm not typically a pill popper, I just let the headache take its course, but it was pretty bad that day. I did end up taking one Tylenol because I didn't want to risk anything. But today I did have a nice ice cold Dr. Pepper since I haven't had any caffeine (soda) in weeks. Boy did it taste scrumptious! : )

I hope your headache is gone by now, but if you get another. If you drink a can of pop along with the Tylenol it's far more effective. Caffeine is not the best in early pregnancy but one can is safe (even two) so long as you're not having coffee as well. The study about the dangers of caffeine in early pregnancy give a cut off of 200mg/day though it states none is far better. Each can of pop has approximately 60-80mg but be aware that coffee has about 200mg each cup (even decaf still has more than a can of pop.) The ingredients in Excedrin Migraine are Tylenol, aspirin and caffeine. Do NOT take aspirin or ibuprofen or anything other than Tylenol!

The only thing you can take is tylonal. Any other meds must be given by doctor and taken correctly.
