Thats exactly what happened to me. My dr scheduled me for induction, and my contractions were so intense. I had to get epidural. That time I thought it was a blessing but now I think it was a biggest mistake I made

My issue with being induced is mainly just the fact that they are putting chemicals into my body which isn't natural. It can also make contractions more intense (which can lead people to need an epidural which in turn can increase risk of c section or tearing). I stated above, I haven't even taken a Tylenol this pregnancy, I don't like taking man made medications. I am set to be induced friday because as of right now baby is six days late but my plan is to have them break my water instead of going straight to medicine and see if that gets things started.

Today is Dec 27. I am 40+2. I haven't dilated at all either. Lots of Braxton hicks some days but nothing serious.  Go back to doc on Monday. Wondering if he will schedule me for induction.  Really want her to come on her own but whatever happens is out of my control at this point. Good luck ladies

I will be 40 weeks friday the 26 thats my due date. Im not dilating at all yet either. Just look at it this way just be happy that you dont have any problems with the pregnancy and when the babys ready he/she will come, being induced is a common thing the drs know what there doing so you shouldn't have to worry.

I feel everyone's pain. I will be 41 weeks and 5 days tomorrow. I will be induced tomorrow. I didn't want this, but I want my baby boy here so bad. So if this is how it has to be, I guess bring it on.
