Doppler

Hi ladies.  I am 17 weeks and 1 day.  I still can not hear  heart tones on  my doppler. The MD has not done doppler in the office because he has as always gotten an ultrasound. My question is as anyone else not heard heart tones on their at home doppler at 17 weeks... BTW I am considerd  obese and think baby may be positioned toward my back

A friend let me borrow hers for this pregnancy. I'm overweight but was able to find the heartbeat. It depends on the doppler and placing the wand in the right location. I could hear around 11-12 weeks and baby was very low around my pelvis. Now at almost 18 weeks baby is higher. There are YouTube videos of people using at home dopplers. I don't use it very often, maybe 2x month. It's possible but you have to know how to use it.

I had one on my first I'm sure it says the home onS doesn't actually work until your 25 weeks and over

It's probably normal, I'm very slinder and with my first baby,I was like 23 weeks and still could never use an at home Doppler for some reason it never worked lol but the doctor could find it instantly, I didn't even bother using buying another this time

Thanks for your comment.  My question was did any one else go through the same thing as me. I put the background info there so people would not get freaked out.
