Evening Primrose Oil For Effacement?

I'm 39 wks 2 days and 1cm dilated and 60%effaced. How long does it take for the oil to work if you take 2 orally, and 2 vaginally at night? Midwife wants to induce me after the 15th, but not thinned out enough for her to be comfortable doing it yet. How thin do I have to be??

Got checked, I'm now 3cm, and 90% effaced.

DH and I had out fun last night, AND I did the primrose oil. Holy god the cramping was so bad, I finally was able to sleep through it, but when he was up in there, because he's um, very well endowed, he said he could feel like his part could go inside my cervix. So maybe I'm more dilated than I was! It kind of scared him so I think we are done with sex for now. Lol

Just inserted it. They will dissolve if you lay down with a pillow in between your legs. And mind you, I have to pee every two hours, so a lot comes out after I go pee and it still worked for me.

With the primrose oil did you poke a hole in it or just inserted it.

The membrane sweep was painful, and I cramped a bit, and every time I insert the EPO vaginally, about an hour later I start cramping. And every night I use it, it gets more intense. Everyone's body's are different, so I would go ahead and try it. Some people don't cramp, I just happen to be the lucky one. I know it's doing something for me because the cramping is so bad. Almost thought I was in labor last night. But false alarm. lol

EPO worked for me, thinned me out, I dilated to a 4 & my water broke all within a few days. Goodluck

I was taking 3 vaginally at night, & I would take it orally about 3 times through the day

Try inserting two vaginally at this point maybe? Ask your doc to check you. Lost mucus plug yet?

I have been taking 1 orally for the last several weeks. I don't know if it's working because they haven't checked me. I'm kinda mad they haven't because I'm 38 weeks and never dilated with my daughter until given patocin and wanted to dilate naturally this time.
