Natural Birth

Any other ladies thinking of doing a natural birth with no drugs? As much as I assume its going to hurt I want the full experience and to be 100% when she gets here and I really just don't want the epidural shot in my back. I can't decide though

I did it with my first it was painful but I managed, the contractions are the painful bit, I'm now pregnant with 2nd baby and gunna do it without pain relief again, but it's up to you and how you think you'll manage but I wouldn't make any decisions now until your actually at that stage

I had my fourth daughter with no pain medication and I will never do that again.  I hope you can take pain better than me.  When it was time to push the shoulders out I just wanted to die.

I agree. Go for it then if you can't handle it you can always get help. I went in thinking I could handle it and I ended up getting the epidural but they did induce me and I was told it is worst when they induce.

Go for it. You can always change your mind when you are in labour.

I'm going to a midwife led centre and they only offer birthing pools and gas and air. I really don't want any pain relief but this is my first so I don't know if I can do it I'm just going to try.  If I want pain relief or have any complications I have to get moved to a hospital.

Good luck whatever you choose
