taxes and soc card

so, I've been we can claim the baby as a defendant on our taxes even if born in dec of 2015.
how long does getting soc card take?

My cousins son was born november of last year and she got tax credit she didn't get all of it but she got half of it

My oldest was born in September and we got the tax credit for him.

I know several people who have had kids in December who claimed the baby and got the tax credit. Someone just did this past yesr.

You can claim if born even in December. You just will not get the child tax credit. To get that they have to live with you for 6 months. My 1st son was born in Oct  last year. And I couldn't get the child tax credit due to he was not living in my house for 6 months.

I started claiming mine as a dependant about two months ago due december 10th ;)

As long as they are born before the 1st of Jan you can claim them on taxes. Mine is due Dec 26th and I'm going to try everything to be born before the 1st lol.
