3&D ultrasound worth it?

hi ladies,this question is for ladies who have had the 3 or 4D ultrasounds. R they worth it? The only place that offers them around her is about 1hr away. and my insurance does not cover it, i have been debating with my hubby about it. he tells me its a waste of time, that he is not gonna drive one hour, to c a baby that still looks like an alien, when he can drive 5minutes, and c the same. I want to go for a 4d, cause wiht my last preganacy on a 2d ultrasound, they told my baby had down syndrom, and something called the Dandy walker dieases, and he would not have bones in the back of his head. None of that was true thank God. I was misreable, horrible, time in my life, i lived in total hell for 9wks. Now i am terffied of going and doing an ultrasound.

My hospital does it there, but there's not awesome looking like some of the places you can go too....so I haven't got a package, but I was really looking at one.  The closest one to me is 4 and a half hours away.  :( They were ahving a special for $139 for the fall...but DH doesn't want to travel that far for a free pictures and a CD....kinda bummed....I hope you go through it.  Like I said, mine we're like the ones you see (I was 36 weeks this twins anyways, so she was squooshed...LOL)  I hope you do go and do it, good luck :)

i just had one last saturday, i thought it was great.  the place i went to was so nice and the techs were awsome.  they only told you things that were in their knowlegde.

I had one done a couple weeks ago and it was very worth it!! I loved it, it was soo much fun and at the place we did it was awesome! Insurance never covers the 3d/4d ultrasound because theyre elective and for fun only so its ut of pocket for everyone. But it was worth the drive, for us it took about 45 minutes to get there but we didnt mind at all. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life and we also found out the sex at that time, we'll be going for another 3d later on at about 28 weeks because it was so so fun.
