Eating Habits

Okay is anyone eating like ****?

These last few weeks, all I have wanted is junk! And I have NEVER been like this. Pre-Pregnancy I was the healthiest person ever...I never even liked junk food..I was always a fruit and veggie lover. Now that I am nearing the end all I want is nasty food and its bugging me out! Anyone else eating like this??

I think most of it is coming from boredem. My doctor said I shouldn't leave CT or travel far from our house due to the fact I could deliver any day now and all my friends and family are over an hour away. Hubby is working most of the day and I just putts around. I clean and keep myself busy but as soon as I get bored I just eat! I'm not even sure if I'm hungry or not, I just eat and eat and its all junk food...its like I'm craving it! I know it'll end once I deliver but was just curious if anyones eating habits have gotten as bad as mine!

I am addicted to brownie sundaes--have to have one every day!  And I hated ice cream before pregnancy--and frankly most sweets.  I'll have to give them up soon though--i'm being induced on Tuesday!

YES!  Cookies, CHOCOLATE (which I hate)...Like chocolate cake...omg I don'r know why!  I was really good at keepingmy weight under control seeing I was already alittle overweight from breastfeeding the twins forever....but the past 2 weeks, I've gained 6 pounds!! :(  Depressing, but we're right at the end and I'm not really caring anymore as long as my baby is ok and I'm not getting overly HUGE!!!

I either have a bowl of icecream or chocolate milk every night!  Chocolate and I were not friends during this pg until this last month or so.  Now, I can't get enough of the stuff but I do try to limit myself to one chocolate craving a day!

I'm 38 weeks today and currently gained 25lbs since my prepregnancy.  Lost in first trimester.  Gained 20+ in second trimester, kind of gain 3 or so in 3rd trimester.

Read up on weight gain in pregnancy, and they reckon that weight loss or gain in first trimester is pretty immaterial.  Lack of weight gain in 2nd and/or 3rd trimester can be a concern for baby, and is associated with lower birth weight.

Your bodies do know what they're doing.  As long as you're getting healthy food between the other stuff you should be fine.

Oh regarding the heart burn - I've been on nexium for the past 3 weeks and it is wonderful!  No more reflux pain.  Ask your doctor about this if the reflux is unbearable.

I think were all in the same boat, at least u started eating junk at the end. unlike me who totally threw caution to the wind as soon as the Dr. put me on bed rest the first trimester!! So enjoyed you dont have much longer to go, u will be back to your old healthy habits once you feel like your in controll of your own body again. Good luck

Ah it's so hard! I'm trying to eat so good and it's tough at this point!
Fay-how much weight have you put on? I'm up 35 pounds already and I'm not even done yet! I just hope my baby doesn't suffer for my poor eating habits.

I've been having cravings for cookies..... anything sweet and crunchy.....
All not allowed because I have diabetes.... but i have indulged a few times....
Am slowly losing weight at the moment... after no weight gain for the last 2 months.  but baby is doing fine, apparently, so nothing to be concerned about.
