I would say that if they saw a heartbeat you are in the clear. Since they figured you ovulated late your baby is bound to be a little smaller but seeing a heartbeat is absolutely HUGE. I know it is hard to relax but at least it was a positive view from all aspects. I can't remember off the top of my head how big my twins were at six weeks but then again I ovulated earlier and they were closer to seven weeks at that point. Hang in there and congratulations!!!!
Yep like MrsGordon said, if your doctor or U/S Tech has the right equipment for it, you can hear it! When I was having my U/S I didn't even know you could do that. So I saw the heartbeat and she asked if I wanted to hear it..I was like YES!! It was great :)
You can hear the heartbeat if your doctor has the appropriate equipment. Last year, I heard my baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks as well.
Could you really hear the heartbeat at 6 weeks????
I was only able to see mine....they said I couldnt hear it until 12 weeks!?
did I miss out?
At 6 weeks, I saw and heard my babys heartbeat on the U/S. The baby had a heartbeat of 140bpm.
At about 5-6 weeks my baby had heart beat of about 138 beats per minute and was 0.6 cm long.
At 7-8 weeks its heart beat was about 170 beats per minute and it was 1.4 cm long.
at 6 weeks, on my ultrasound pic, it says the baby measured .53cm. we also had a heartbeat of 126 beats per minute.
i had a vaginal u/s at 6 weeks 4 days. We could see the baby and the heartbeat.
i had an u/s at 5w4d and could on ly see the sac and at 6w2d we could see the baby and the heartbeat. The fact the you could see the heartbeat is great news.
I had a vaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks and I could see the heartbeat..You wont be able to "hear" the heartbeat til you are around 12 weeks. You probably did ovulate late if they cannot see aynthing yet.
