Lucy is doing wonderfully! (keeping me busy though)
She is finally chubbing up (because I started her on solids at 5m1w) and at 6 months weighed in at 14.4lbs. She fits some of her 00 clothes and is still growing into some.
Lucy just loves her food. At the same age my other two would eat maybe a teaspoon or two, Lucy eats about a cup and a half 3 times per day. (she is now 6m1w4d)
Lucy is starting to sleep better and eat less at night (usually 1-2 feeds instead of 3-4) and has a regular nap during the day now which means I get more done. I still breastfeed her, and I make all my own baby food except for rice cereal. Lucy loves sweet potato, carrot and stewed apple the best.
Awe!! Everyone sounds like they are doing great!!
Nathan is doing great as well....we are still breastfeeding, and that is going awesome!! I love breastfeeding, it is so easy...and cheap!! He is exclusivly breastfeeding still and one bottle a day with rice cereal...I have tried to give him food a few times, but he is not interested. He is more than likely pushing 20 lbs himself...at his 4 month he was 16 lbs....carseat still works fine though, I make hubby carry him or I sick it right in stroller or shopping cart, so I never carry it around.
He is drooling like crazy and putting everything in his mouth, but not teething yet...at least he hasn't had a fever or has been whiney at all.
He is doing the little get up on all fours and scooting around thing, and will sit on his own if we place him there, but no rolling yet. Loves his baby einsteinn bouncy seat...and will jump on your lap if you hold him in standing position.
Lets see...sleeps through the night, about 8hours or so, puts himself to sleep...at bedtime or if he wakes up at night.
Oh, Daddy got his first haircut with him yesterday....he looks so distinguished and handsome now....where before he was cute!! ;)
He has a 6 month appointment scheduled on 21 Aug...He will be 6 months on Aug 7th!!
Caiden will be 6 months August 10 and I too cannot believe how fast it has all gone by!!
He is learning so many things..so fast! He's been rolling over back to stomach and stomach to back for weeks now. He is even starting to crawl!! He does this little scoot where he lifts his butt and pushes forward and it works! He gets around! He sits up on his own now too. He got his first bottom tooth a little over a week ago and I know he's getting more because he bites everything and gets mad at his toys. And he drools like its his job.
He also hit a HUGE milestone, he said "da da!" I almost fell over! He knows exactly what he is saying too! All he says is da da da da. My husband is beaming ear to ear. It's so cute! He makes all sorts of sounds but has only said da da for now. He smiles and laughs constantly. He is walking in his walker and he always wants us to hold him up so he can walk around the room! It's so funny, he gets very excited about it.
He is getting a tad bratty with things. He always wants my cell phone or camera and if we dont give it to him he whines but gets over it. He prefers to be held but will play on the floor or in his exersaucer, swing, jumper, walker. Now that he's getting older I think he's appreciating those toys more! But he is getting quite the attitude! He plays with his toes constantly too!
He weighed 17 pounds 11 ounces and 26" long at 4 months...next appointment is Aug 12th so we'll see how much he weighs. Gotta be over 20 pounds by now! He still fits in his carseat which goes up to 30 pounds but I haven't been able to carry him in it since he was 2 months old! LOL So we might have to look into the conv. ones. Still sleeping through the night 9-11 hours and eats every 3-4 hours during the day. He has 1tbsp rice cereal at dinner. Things are great, I just can't believe how fast our babies are growing!!
Brandi....
yea, thats Sarah. Constant attention is a must..She wants to be held.....she loves the connection I guess. I dont mind...however, I get tired. Being pregnant and having a 6 month old....its wearing me out already...wholy moly.... Some days she is great...and then she has her off days......and there are many...where you LITERALLY cannot put her down....it breaks my heart to hear her scream as if she is being hurt when I put her down.
Awww, everyone babies sound so good =)
Steph, my first born did the same thing!! Never wanted to be put down, always wanted to be walked around...always needed some type of touch. He hated to be alone. LOL
Myra will be 6 months on August 16th and its too crazy! I think it feels like we all just had our babies and their 1/2 a year old already. This is the age I always want another one. LOL DH wouldn't like that too much. =)
Myra's nest appointment is on Sept. 9th. Everytime I schedule a new check-up appointment for Myra, her doctor is always away. So I have her scheduled with her doctor's wife =) She was really nice last time. Last appointment for Myra, which was for 4 month check-up, she was 18#14oz and 25 3/4 long. She's well over that because clothes I've had on her a couple weeks ago, don't fit her chubby chubby legs anymore. LOL
Glad to hear you all (and the babies) are doing great.
well Mckenna will be six months on 8/11 and she is getting to funny. She has starting giving raspberries to people it sute my MIL and I went out shoppin the other day when i brought the baby in to the house she was smiling and being cute and the her grandma so oh give me akiss and slam is was non stop raspberries with drool going everywhere . She has if rough four a bit in july she was in hospital due breathing diffculty which turned out to be infantile asthma. So we had to find homes for our cats cause them being around seemed to make her worst at aleast for now they are thinking that she going to grow out of this because she doesnt need to have a breathing treatment all the time which is a good thing but man that two days in the hopsital was more than enough for me. She rolls from her belly to back with no problem she is stil having a little trouble with back to belly but she is almost there she has done it a few times but e every baby gets to things on their own time table. Always sucking on something where it is hands feet toes toys or clothes. The teeth arecoming but none yet. She eating like a lil horse she has breakfast which is cereal with fruit and the a lil vegg or cereal and fruit for dinner and loving every min of it I just cant believe how the time has flown by make me a lil sad :( to see her getting so big.
Mikayla will be 6 months on August 10 and her 6 month check up is August 14, so won't know her weight for sure by then but she is probably pushing 20lbs also!! She is also sucking on her toes/feet whenever she can. She loves toys and has actually started getting mad if she can't put it in her mouth (like the bigger toys). She can sit up really well now and can even go from laying in our lap to the sitting position. Mikayla almost rolled over the other night from her stomach to back but didn't quite make it. I think that's the only milestone she is lacking to achieve. Mikayla always wants to stand and is now in the bouncing phase - so her Baby einstein bouncy/jumper is her new best friend (and mine! she can last in that thing forever and it gives me time to get stuff done). Even though she already has seen her hand, she is now turning her hand around, bringing it away from her face then back closer - it just cracks me up how she stares at it like " what is this thing?".
She is definitly teething but no actual teeth yet. Everyeone said she'd get her teeth early because she was sucking on her hand the second she came into this world, but nothing yet. The past few weeks she has started sleeping through the night - I mean like 9-10 hours at a time. She is eating breakfast and dinner, which consists of oatmeal and a 2.5oz container of veggies or fruits.
I am just amazed everyday at how big she is getting and all the new things she starts doing. I can;t wait for her next appointment to see her measurements. She is mostly wearing 6 month clothes now, and though I've been set on clothes from hand me downs or the baby shower gifts, once she grows out of these clothes then it's time for me to do some shopping (we have been fortunate enough to not have to buy her any clothes, I only buy them when I just can't resist how cute it would look on her!).
Lets see....Sarah is a BRAT! Lol.......
She will be 6 months a week from today. I would imagine she has got to be close to 20 pounds now...not sure. We will see on monday.
She has no teeth...and I cant feel any...but shes def teething..all she does is chew on everything....blankets, toys, if she has a shirt on she can pull up..shes chewing. I always see her with her bibs in her mouth nawing on them..shes too cute!
She has this new thing though....where she doesnt want to sit with you!!! You sit, she screams, you stand up, shes happy...you sit, she screams...im talking, screaming like she is being hurt!! its awful! Yesterday I had to lay her down and throw a little fit for her to calm down. Finally she did and I rocked her...she was tired..and teething.. She just wants to be consoled....poor babY! I feel awful.
I am going to purchase Sarah a convertible car seat because she is WAY too heavy to carry around in the infant one...esp with me being pregnant..its getting to be way to much. She sits up on her own...but slouches over..she is getting better though!
She is full of herself and constantly has her feet in her mouth.....
I cant believe that almost 6 months has gone by since I had her...its really crazy!
