OB appt. & non stress test

So my regular OB is finally starting to smile a little bit the closer we are getting to 34 weeks and it is nice to not have him be such a downer all the time. My visit with him was short and to the point (belly measurments and heartbeats) then it was over to my high risk OB for an ultrasound and NST. I was shocked when they said that the boys are measuring about 4 pounds 5oz or so apiece - no wonder I feel like my body is going to split in half. That is almost a pound bigger than my son when he was born and I still have at least six more weeks to go as it is looking like a c-section somewhere around week 38 & 39. My NST went well although Ethan's heartrate skyrocketed the first 20 minutes so we had to stay and extra 20 and wait for him to calm down which he did eventually. Other than that no news which is good news!!

Yeah men can say such irritating things. When I was pregnant with my first I had GD and all my OB ever said was yep your measuring big and you look big...totally comforting LOL! My husband who I just have to laugh at tells me all the time how much convincing and other favors I will have to do to get him to have another baby after these two and I am like 'are you kidding me, I have to convince myself first'. Oh well they try and be supportive and like to think they know what we are going through but every once in awhile he was say straight up he has no idea what its like!!

Hi,

you know I reckon sometimes these doctors expect the worst.  Really they should be expecting the best (and just prepared to handle the worst should it happen).

Sounds like you are doing great and your boys are growing like troopers.  Even if they were born tomorrow (and sounds like there's no chance of that) they would already be fine.

I can't imagine how it would feel to have two in there, I'm already uncomfortably stretching with just one.

I was in seeing my endo on Monday.  He was exclaiming that I am doing so well with pregnancy (despite all my endocrine issues) and it must suite me.  (What a man thing to say, he obviously doesn't realise how uncomfortable pregancy can be - oh and his wife is due nearly the same time as me... so maybe she's the stoic type and not complaining).....  Then he was asking me when I'd be having my next baby!!!! LOL!!  At least he's supportive....

We were discussing cesarian (in relation to his wife who'll be having one) and I told him I definitely don't want a cesarian.. need him on side too...
