Sally-your results?

Sally,

What were the results of the latest biophysical you were suppose to have?  How are the contractions?  Did they check and see if your were dilating more?  Sorry for all the questions.  Am concerned about you and little one.  I guess you figured that out?

Big Mommie Hugs,
Heather

My post flew off into cyber space somewhere.  Instead of trying to wrack my brain to remember what I typed, just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.  Can't wait to see the first pictures of this stubborn baby.

Hang in there momma...this baby is determined to come.

Hi, still here.

Major contractions yesterday, which they finally managed to stop.  On max dose of meds now.  If baby still decides to come there is nothing further they can do.  Side effect of meds is headache and nausea.  So sick of this.  Anyway all for a reason, and as long as baby is ok.

Target date is Monday to stop meds and baby should come soon after, within a couple of days.  Doc wants baby 37 to 38 weeks.  Not less, not more.  Today am 37 weeks.  Doc wants a few more days. Says with the GD there is still risk that baby would need incubator or icu at 37 weeks... even though the books say 37 weeks is ok.  But if I get past 38 weeks without anything happening (after all of this) they would probaby induce.  So, baby is definitely arriving in the next week.

I guess they'll do internal again today and see what's happening.

Lost my mucous plug last night, I think.  Lots of clear jelly-like stuff.... looks a bit like the stuff when one ovulates... but not quite...

Everything down there so sore.  Pubic symphasis feels like it's splitting.  Hurts to move, and I'm not allowed to walk anyway....

Take care all

Take care all.  Not long, I guess for all of us.

contractions again. Doc thinks its false alarm still.  Only 1 cm dilated, but they're monitoring.

How exciting!  I'm so happy to hear things are going well for you.  We're all just anxiously waiting for you to come on one day and say, "SHE'S HERE!"  LOL  But the longer she's in there, the better.  Wishing you the best and praying for you and Bub!!

Hi,

thanks Heather.  The biophysical yesterday went well.  Baby has gained estimated 200 g over 4 days.  So that is excellent.  She is now just under 6 lbs.  She is also very active.

She is head down and completely engaged.

Haven't had any contractions today so far (touch wood).  But still on complete bedrest and IV isoxuprine to stop contractions.  Am having menstrual type cramping and back pain, so I think things are probably still going to happen as soon as they stop the drugs.

They haven't done an IE yet this week, so I don't know what's happening in that area.  Getting lots of sensations down there... feels like baby is taking a bite out of it every now and then.

Having quite a bit of coughing the past 2 days, despite asthma meds... but they're just observing for now.

As of last discussion doc will be stopping the meds by early next week - maybe Tuesday.  Target is baby to be 37 - 38 weeks AOG.  This Friday will be 37 weeks. Obe was very busy yesterday and we only talked briefly during the biophysical....  hope to talk to her more today or tomorrow...

I kind of wish baby would just defy the meds and I could start having contractions and get her out.  But that's not in her best interest.... and as soon as I have contractions they increase the meds, which do have side effects of headache/nausea - but bearable so far...

Good thing is I'm forced to rest very well.  Bad is that I am losing strength and condition from the bedrest.
