Breast leakage???

Long story short, my left boob leaked last night, enough to wet through my fairy thick cotton t-shirt and leave a spot a tad larger than a quarter. I woke up to pee and when i sat up my spot had dried and stuck to my nipple so when i sat up the shirt peeled off real fast and i was like, what was that! i felt it kind of gently come off my nipple, like a bandaid you know but much less sticky just the same concept. Anyway so when i got to the bathroom and looked at it i was astonished to see a little bit of dried white stuff on my nipple and of course a noticeable crunchy spot on my shirt and i freaked! is this supposed to happen so early? I know it happens later but wow, i mean im only 14 weeks!

Haha yea i mean im not disgusted by it, its just the first time in my life i've felt genuinely odd. Like i get its natural and its not like you dont expect it when you know you're pregnant, but it is somehow really surprising still every time it happens. I am very adjusted to the idea of it happening, basically im just nopt used to actually dealing with it, feeling it and seeing it you know.

And i think my dh is kinda turned on by it, i dont know how common that is but it sure doesnt bother me the he likes it  =D

OK...my hubby just walked in and I asked him about it. I was like "remember when I leaked and you got disgusted?"
Turns out he wasn't disgusted after all. He said he was disgusted that I told him to taste it! LMAO!
I don't remember telling him to do that...at least not while we were doing the nasty. I remember asking him to taste it (a drop on his finger...not by sucking my boob) AFTER my milk really came in and I had been breastfeeding for a few weeks. And I KNOW it wasn't during sex at that point because there WAS no sex for a while after the baby was born! :-)

Oh well, at least he set the record straight...

Well, it's not that he's disgusted that I leak. I guess he's just not one of those men who find it kinky to be leaked ON during sex! LOL
Nothing bothers me about my body. It does what it does, and I know it's only natural. :-)

i thought your comment was funny, but you know what, the leaking thing is grossing me out but not my dh at all! I've never been grossed out by anything from myself like periods or anything and i didnt think this of all things would make me feel nasty but it kinda did. I think i was more shocked than anything though.

Anyway my dh loves the idea, hah it sounds really weird but he wants to make me a mommy so bad i guess hes excited about anything like, mommy-ish? It doesnt bother me at all though that he likes it, i love how pretty much nothing i do can genuinely turn him off =)

just wondering if any of your husbands like it too?

Yep, looks like you better go get those breast pads right away! :-)
(and Atlantisea is right...even sexual stimulation will make it happen! Nothing like dripping breast milk on your hubby while doing the nasty! LOL)

Lol. If you are planning on breastfeeding, then you will get used to leaking..

Anything that really upsets me makes me leak, hearing any baby cry (including on tv) makes me leak, and any kind of sexual stimulation makes me leak... LOL.

Haha wow, it happened again last night, except this time i was awake to feel it! That was So weird! I was laying on my side and talking to my husband in bed and i was telling him all the things that im afraid of and he was calming me and while i was crying i suddenly felt all wet and well leaky lol from my other breast (not the same one as last time) and i felt my shirt and sure enough it  was all wet. So I guess it wasnt a one-time thing it will probably keep happening =(

just thought i'd mention it

Wow, I mean I've heard all about breasts leaking and everything but I'm like Give me a break! Why so early for me!

Ughh, Now i'm kind of scared i dont want to leak through in public! and wow a baby's cry makes it happen that really is weird (understandable but must be weird to experience)

But yea I will definitely get s0ome breast pads if it happens again, so far it was a one time thing.

Wow...that IS early! LOL
But I've heard that it's normal for people at different stages. You just never know about those boobs, as they seem to have a mind of their own during pregnancy and especially AFTER! :-)

I used to hate when I'd be trying to take a nap while my dh watched Levi just after he was first born. I'd hear him crying downstairs and my boobs would start trickling milk.  If I didn't wear breast pads, my bra got soaked! LOL
It happened while I was out shopping, too. Except it was ANOTHER person's baby who was crying! Talk about weird.

You have so much to look forward to. Leaky boobs are just the beginning!

Oh, and by the way, if you plan on using breast pads...which it sounds like you may need to...definitely buy the Lansinoh brand. They are so soft and VERY absorbent. Plus, they're thin! Just stay away from Avent brand. I used those once and the milk actually stuck to the fiber of the pad and ripped the meat off my nipple. Needless to say, it was PAINFUL, and Levi couldn't feed on that breast for a few days until it healed.

I had some leakage earlier like 7-8 weeks. I haven't had it lately and I will be 16 weeks tomorrow. The dr said it is just hormones and your body preparing t produce milk... you might just want to mention it to your Dr at your next visit but it is normal since all pregnancies are different and all women are different...
