discharge
hi there i'm 33 and a half weeks pregnant and just wondering if anybodys getting the same like discharge as me it white and jelly looking i'm jus wondering if this is normal at this stage, i know your ment to lose more dicharge when your pregnant i'm seeing my midwife on wednesday and any info before going would be great thanks jessica x
OK, so I JUST read the comment above the one I left about my mucus plug and she went into the hospital that same night as I did! OMG, I knew it was a full moon ~ I told Hubbythat on the way home....I look up the Febuary full moon, but not January's. LOL CRAZY!!!!!
I ws just in the hospital Friday because of discharge and Preterm labor. They did a internal exam and a "Papsmear" type thing just to get a sample of my discharge. The doctor said it's the normal type that they would find for woman at this stage in the pregnancy. She told me to watch for blood~brownish-pink in color~then return if it gets really bad.
My mucus plus with my son was NASTY!! It was the day before I deliveried him, I had this snot like glob come out. It was ALL YELLOW, jelly like with veins in it. With a pinkish/brown tint. You'll DEF know when you lose your plug. After the plug comes out, you'll have a continious flow of brownish, pink, sometimes bloody tinge on your TP. I remember I wore a pad just incase it got really bad. I walked all around Walmart that day getting the supplies for the hospital and ended up contractions at 8pm that night. My mucus plug came out 4am that morning...I deliveried my son at 11:54am the next day....
So just watch for the BIG GLOB of snot...pinkish/brown ad yellowish in color....then call your doctor!! Good luck everyone!!

Its completely normal. I am 34 weeks pregnant now and my gynae has assured me it is normal. Its not your mucas plug or water breaking.
On fri night I had really really bad contractions so went to maternity ward at hospital and they did tests its false contractions and my cervix is still closed and Im having bad discharge. I have to shower twice a day and its all normal.
Dont worry its bad for the baby.

Yeah, sounds normal to me too, I've had it the entire pregnancy. I also thought the plug was supposed to be sorta bloody looking, right?
That sounds normal to me. I've had tons of discharge my entire Pregnancy. It worried me, but I've had 2 OB doctors this Pregnancy (due to moving) and both of them said it is completely normal. Some women have an increase in discharge all throughout their pregnancy. You will know when its your plug because it will be a large amount of discharge and I've heard its snotty looking. I doubt its your water leaking because it would just be wet and not CM looking. But I've had it since I found out I was Pregnant and I'm past 37 weeks and have a perfectly healthy baby boy in me.
But it does make me wonder...will I be able to tell the difference between my plug and regular CM?? I've just heard your plug is a ton of gob...so I hope I will be able to tell! But it sounds normal to me. Just to be sure, mention it to your doctor but all sounds good to me!

It could be your water leaking...I would definetely go get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry. Maybe call the doc first thing in the morning and see if they can get you in earlier? Or, go to the hospital and get it checked out! I would definetely want to know just incase something was going on....to be on the safe side!
Im not really sure about the color when you lose your mucus plug,...you would prob be better at knowing that than me since you already have 2 little ones!

i thought that when losing your mucus plug its a red and brown colour, having already two children my waters broke with the gush on both of them. anyways i'm a little worried that the hospital have gotten my dates wrong, they have given me 27th feb and i'm sure it will be early feb, i just don't know what to do. x
