i just went through all of this over the last two weeks.... i totally know where you are coming from..... i can tell u the best thing to do is rest when u can and drink tons of fluid as well i was prescribed Zopham which is a dizolvable tab that helps when u feel nauseous if can be prescribed by ur doc it might be an option for those rougher days..... best of luck i am still feelin icky myself at almost 16 weeks
i am 14 weeks and 3 days now and still have it pretty bad at least 3 nights a week. and i have some randoms boughts during the day. maybe waiting a little bit when you first get up on or have a few saltines and some ginger ale in the morning before you eat anything else.
its gross! i havent been sick this morning.... yet! but ill definatly be buying ginger this time i go shopping im sure some people think ive had a heavy night on the alcohol when i step out of my car and start hurling in the street! im past the caring stage now i get funny looks but with my moods in the morning i would just bite there head off lol, layona let me know what the docs suggest maybe it can help us too, good luck ladies we can handle much worse than this!
emmiemac, i have the EXACT same thing.....ill be 16 weeks tomorrow and its still got me, not as bad as it was but i still am trhowing up time to time and its usually just the acid from my stomach. it will usually give me a small sore throat and make my voice sound funny. rrrrrrrr
I am having the same problem, with acid its in my throat, and i always have a weird taste in my mouth. I take zantac, tums. But nothing helps, i am always sick. My OB referred me to specialist i have an appt. on the 17th of sep. hope they can find a solution. I
It took me almost 6 mths with my first baby to get over the throwing up and morning/night sickness. Here are a few tips that worked for me:
eat something before going to be witha good amount ofprotien so it breaks down slowly and youarenot so empty in the morning. Something like yogurt, peanut butter and crackers with a glass of milk.
In the morning, eat a few bites of a saltine cracker before even getting out of bed. Then try a few more crackers. This usually helps to sellte the acid in your stomach.
Ginger ale is great for nausea.
Also very important is to remember to stay hydrated especially when you are throwing up alot! dehydration can lead to preterm labor so hydrating yourself is very important. Especially during the summer hot months...
Good luck and it should go away soon!!
if i eat a little bit often, and dont let my stomach feel empty its not quite so bad but like u i had it worse in the evening its only recently ive had it in the morning, but i cant get anything down in the morning it just comes back up, but in a strange way i dont actually mind the feeling sick cuz it just reminds me babies still in there its just getting past the actual throwing up part! ill try the ginger thing if i do it early enough in the morning it may have time to settle before i start moving around too much, have you had it all the way through the first trimester too? i heard it stops at about 12 weeks but it seems to be getting more violent, i dont get it every day but the days i do i feel really crappy for a bout 30 mins after, good luck with your sickness lets hope it goes soon x
some people have it through their first trimester too. have you tried things like non-drowsy dramamine, small meals, ginger ale etc? i get mine at night, it has lessened but has not gone away so i feel your pain.
