Awe I'm sorry :(. The pressure of our big huge uterus is putting so much pressure down there that sometimes despite our best efforts we end up with hemheroids anyway :(. But there are "tucks pads" that have some sort of medication on them that is supposed to really help with the discomfort and swelling. Ask your OB if that are ok to use while pregnant. Some women tuck them into place and leave them there changing them every potty break.
Good luck
Oh no! That is one of my biggest fears. I can't offer any advice but am crossing my fingers you don't have them!
Hemorrhoids are a real pain in the rear. Ha, ha. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Bad, I know. I swear I get them sometimes even when I'm not constipated and haven't been straining that I know of. One day fine and then boom. Ouch. You're lucky it doesn't hurt. I was thinking of picking up some tucks pads and trying them. They say alot of times you get them after giving birth even if you hadn't had them yet. Shoot, how much worse will it be to go into it already with them? They say drinking a lot of water and staying hydrated will help but it hasn't done me much good; and I drink a ton of water a day. Have been taking stool softeners every now and then; they seemed to help some. Does it feel like a little marble sticking out? If so, that's probably what it is. Are there only a few of us unlucky ones on here?
I get them everytime I go to the toilet. I swear my bottom looks like a crater. I am going to my doctor tomorrow to discuss ways to prevent it. I am petrified I am going to push my whole bottom out when I give birth eeekkk.
Let me know what your doctor says and I will let you know what my doctor says tomorrow.
Well I do have them but it's not from straining. OB said very few women make it through pregnancy without this lovely experience and explained that it's basically liker swollen feet. Your body gets so much pressure added that your feet and bottom take the brunt of it. She told me not to medicate, especially if they weren't hurting but that sitting in a warm bath can often help. She also said that delivery often makes them worse but I'm scheduled for a c-section so hopefully this will be the last of the roids for me. Uuugggh. Just gross!
Oh that *****!!! So when I push my baby out I'm going to push a whole heap of craters out as well!!!!! Gosh that is going to make me feel better lol. Mine do not hurt but they just look ugly. I never had this problem with my other pregnancies :(
This might be a dumb question, but how do you know you have them if they don't hurt/itch??? All the commercials for Preparation H and whatnot make it seem like they are always painful/itchy...
Do you really want to know lol!!!! Honestly everytime I go to the toilet for a number two and I don't even push that hard because I try so hard not to but around my anus it looks like a crater. I am serious!!!!! It has all of these bubbles that stick out. This morning I had about 6 bubbles. If it's not haemmaroids then I would hate to think what is coming out lol
I forgot to mention I only use baby wipes on my bottom now that are non fragranced so that it doesn't get irritated. I had to stop using toilet paper because it would leave my bottom sore - sorry if tmi
I'm so scared to get them!! It sounds horrible!! :( I feel terrible for you ladies
You look at your anus every time you poop??? LOL!!! WHY???
I never looked until this weekend. I noticed that when I went to the bathroom, it felt weird to wipe.. like something was stuck there. It didn't hurt, but I could feel it. Started about a week or so ago. Then Sunday night when I was showering, I actually felt something bubble like and decided to look when I got out. Sure enough, I could see it plain as day. I am so glad it doesn't hurt and pray it doesn't start hurting. I am fibered up like nobody's business and try to make sure I stay regular so I don't add to the irritation but starting iron supplements did NOT help. I'll start the warm baths if it becomes bothersome but OB said as long as I'm not straining and if I stay scheduled for c-section, it should resolve itself on its own. We shall see. Just so gross to think about.
Beacause I want to see if they are getting worse lol. I spoke to my doctor about it and she said there is nothing that can be done :( She said it will subside when baby is born which is great to hear. She said it is caused by all the pressure down there and said to just push them back in lol, drink lots of water and eats, dried apricots, dates and prunes I think it was.
I agree it is just SO gross!!!! I NEVER had this problem with my other 2 :(
If it doesn't resolve after delivery you can get steroid injections in them to make them shrink and disappear. Shots in the bumm hole probably not super high on the list of desires but better that than suffer for ever with these little balloons of evil.
I got them during my pregnancy as well but unfortunately mine hurt. The bright side, after I had the kiddos (via c-section) they went away. Hooray!! If they start hurting you can buy little pads that have whitch hazel on them and that calms some of the discomfort. I never tried the baths because I was always too paranoid about having the water too hot for babies. Good luck and I hope that your a lucky one who's hemrroids aren't painful!!
OMG, I was cracking up so hard last night thinking about you looking at your butthole in the mirror every time you poop!!! I even shed a few tears I was laughing so hard...and my stomach even started to hurt. I had to share with my husband and he was horrified that we were all talking about such things and was mad that I told him about it. :) I REALLY hope I don't get those awful things! Push them back in?! OMG!!!
I have two friends who still have them several years AFTER delivery. Good times.
lol You made me laugh reading what you wrote. They aren't getting worse so that is good :) Yeah I haven't had the urge to push them back in that's just gross lol but I have a shower and they DO go back in by themselves eventually :)
I swear this is my last pregnancy. My body is falling apart lol
I have one, but it doesn't hurt. It really isn't super gross for me because I have been expecting them. I am just glad they are not worse. My Ob said they well get irritated during birth, but then go away soon after because of the relief of pressure. As for someone seeing them, I am more worried about pooping during delivery than my hemorrhoids saying hello. But I tell myself my OB has seen it all in 37 years and he is way cool and not embarassing so it will be ok :)
I'm still not experiencing any pain or discomfort either. I just keep waiting because I've heard how bad they can be. I don't like knowing it's there but at least nothing hurts.
It;s good that you are not in pain. I take a stool softener everday because I had bowel issues before I got pregnant and sometimes I have to strain alittle, especially since I have begun taking these iron supplements, but I figuresince I havent experienced what my Ob says most women have experienced by now I am HAPPY to only have a little bubble on my bum:)
OMG I am afraid to poop during delivery too!!
The key to not pooping is trying to poop when you are in labour lol. When I was in labour with my daughter I didn't poop pushing her out because I was continuously trying to go toilet throughout the beginning of labour and I basically stopped eating lol.
Ouch!!!!!!! It hurts!! Swear I have a hemorrhoid the size of Dallas. Its like its getting bigger as I get closer. I do not want to go into labor now because all I can think of is all the pain I'm feeling and how it will get so much worse during labor and delivery. Sorry I can't have a baby now, my butt hurts too much. Come back later. TMI, there is so much pressure down there, you can feel bumps from vajayjay on back. They don't stick out as much as the hemorrhoids but its like my insides want out. Never had this with the 1st, thank god.
