Baby shower hostess gifts

I have been reading a lot about giving your hostess a gift... I am not used to this as we hispanics for some reason don;t do this, (or at elast ive never known of someone who has) but i think its a great idea, specially since i will be having 2 baby shower, first one hosted by my mom, and the other one hosted by the ladies at my church. But thats where my question begins... there is i would say about 6 ladies all in, in hosting me a baby shower, I really wish i could spend some money on hteir gifts but i cant. Any ideas of something inexpensive but nice that i can get them?? or make them? I saw an earlier post on ornaments and love the idea but, my shower will be in january so i dont think ornaments would do much then... im stuck!!

I agree that it is the thought that counts. That way they know that you appreciated what they did for you by going out of their way to throw you a baby shower. You could always make some cinnamon rolls and say "From our bun in the oven" :) Or you could buy them some candles or a picture frame to put a picture of the baby when she/he gets here. You dont have to spend alot. Any little gift is a thoughtful geasture that i'm sure the hosts werent expecting. Have a great time at your shower!

Trh you have the best ideas!!!

I agree hit up the after Chistmas sales for sure you can get some great stuff for crazy low prices :). Or you can do something personal like bake them cookies or bread or some other baked goodies and attach a personal thank you card. Its not about how much you spend but the thought that counts :)

I posted about ornaments. I have another shower in January so I can't use that idea either but will either give a gift certificate for a manicure, or a basket of lotions/shower gels/soaps as kind of a "from my shower to yours." I also thought about getting some pretty kitchen or bathroom towels and adding a monogram. That's not expensive. Take advantage of the after Christmas sales where you can likely find gift items at reduced prices. Hope that's helpful.
