What did you pack/wish you had packed in your hospital bag?

Just curious as to what everyone packed in their hospital bags. I have 12 days until my due date and feel that I should probably be putting a little something together!

I never officially had a baby bag packed! I had my babies so out of the blue, that I went to the hospital with what I was wearing and my husband threw in my toothbrush, face wash, and the camera.

Thanks ladies! I'm all packed with far more than I will likely need. Check in tomorrow at 5:30 a.m. and expect to be released Thursday.  I think I have more for the baby than I do for me... totally unnecessary, but I'll feel better knowing I have options. HA! Had to pack for hubby, too, but that was the easy part.

Well you are lucky!  My belly was so swollen from the c-section I was still in maternity clothes for a week or so after it.  I finally gave all my maternity clothes away about two weeks after I had her.

I think being pregnant in the summer is best.  You can leave in a sun dress and flip flops :)

And I LOVED my cell phone...but that was probably because I went in with nothing and my husband and 17 month old left me without knowing if I would be in for 10 days before I had her....

I only packed a few things.

Clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, pads and that's about it.  I only plan on staying one night.  With my daughter I had her one night and I was home by lunch the next day.

With baby stuff I have packed nappies, clothes, blankets, baby wipes and baby wash.  The car seat is already in the car so hopefully that will be all I need :)  If not I will survive lol

I wish I had a bag packed at all.  I didn't have my bag ready for when I had her OR when I got to "room in" with her when she was in the NICU.

This being said I asked my husband to bring me the essentials. That included:

toothbrush/paste
facewash
makeup
razor
hairdryer
pj's
outfit to go home in for me and baby
deoterant
camera
video camera
computer and all chargers
BOPPY
my pillow (it was a necessity lol)
slippers

I found that the hospital had enough to get me by for alot of the stuff since I wasn't prepared at all...either stay.

Good luck and I am so excited for you.  Kind of wish I got that anticipation feeling with either of my children.  Both times were emergency c-sections.  32 weeker and 37 weeker.   I am so happy for you!!

So what you're saying is Sun is a little more high maintenance than you  :-)  ha ha

Totally kidding. I packed but am re-packing today because I think I have too much I don't need and missing what I do.

The only things that I couldn't go without is a toothbrush, camera, camera charger, nursing bra, and chapstick. My phone was very obnoxious because everyone was calling constantly. I had over 20 voicemails and more than 25 text messages about 24 hours after delivery. I had Eric make all of the calls for me so I could relax. I shut my phone off and put a status update on FB so everyone knew all was well. Good luck and I hope you have a very easy delivery and recovery!
