Shower hostess gifts

I can't recall who originally asked about hostess gifts but I know many of you are having showers soon and I had an idea I wanted to share.  My last shower I gave block glass picture frame that had my best friend's children's names etched in the glass. She LOVED it and it's something she'll use forever. It was inexpensive but personal. I've been looking for hostess gifts for my showers in December and wanted something unique that would be memorable to my friends who put in so much time to make the day special to me. I decided to take advantage of the holiday season and bought hand blown glass ornaments. They're gorgeous and were in the price range I wanted and best of all... they're something my friends will keep and remember the special celebration each year when tree decorating comes around.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. Hope this is helpful to someone!

I went to the outlet mall yesterday and found beautiful Wedgwood ornaments at the Waterford store. They were regularly priced at $50-$60 and I got them for under $20. They're gorgeous and I think a perfect gift for my December showers. Of course I still have to figure out what I'm doing for hostesses in January...

What great suggestions! I think it's great when you personalize the gifts. I wish I would have done something like that. But my preggo brain has sucked all of the creativity out of me.
