baby not gaining weight

first of all , congrats to everyone for the feb,2011 babies.....

m sure all the babies are healthy and fine ...

my baby was born on 9-2-2011 , weight 4 kgs ,
but by the time we got discharge on 13-2-2011 , the baby was 3.75kg ...

now she is almost 1 month old....but her weight is only 4.100 kgs...

she pukes out almost all the milk she has....
m worried...
please help

Well it could be an allergy to something you are eating. Common food allergies are: corn, soy, cows milk, wheat, berries, nuts (especially peanuts), fish(especially shellfish) and tomatoes. Cows milk and nuts seem to present most severe and cows milk protein can take two weeks to leave your system. You can try eliminating all of these foods for 3 weeks and see what happens. Please do take your baby to a dr it sounds like something is wrong

aayushi is have mothers milk as of now....and as per the calculations...by the time aayushi was discharged , she was 3.75kgs , and is now 4.10 kgs...gained 350 gms in 1 month ....


The baby’s weight at the time of discharge was 3.75kgs , now almost a month old , her weight is 4.100 kg only .
She pukes after every feed and remove a lot of milk .
She has her stool after 4 days that was today morning . early she had once had her stool after 3 days .
Yesterday morning i noticed she had some kind of allergy on her face , which disappeared at night .

We have been giving her malaish  , which is given by a malishwali bai ,  we also give her ajma sake ....but have stopped it sine 1 week now , since the baby is developing boils on her body..kind of garmi ( gujrati word )

Need your guidance

I just posted this on SunWorshipers post.  Same issue with my son who is now 20 months.  I had to switch him to Alimentum.  He went from 7.8 at birth to 7.9 at six weeks to gaining a pound in one or two days on the formula.  The milk allergies are very common and very hard on the poor little babies :(

I was having the same problem. Please take her to the hospital or dr and have them do an ultrasound to check for pyloric stenosis if they rule that out it could be a milk protein allergy in which you would have to eliminate all milk from your diet if breastfeeding or you need to switch formula. But please have your dr rule out pyloric stenosis asap. If she is not keeping anything down you should consider taking her to the hospital, infants dehydrate VERY quickly.

she has not had her stool from last 4 days now.....
