I guess I am one of those lucky ones if you can say lucky lol. I labour at home as long as possible. My labours last about 27 hours from start to finish. I labour at home till they are a minute apart lasting 2 to 3 minutes long. I am stupid enough to be in so much pain I can't even sit down so I have to lie down in the backseat. I was 8cms with my first and 9cms with my daughter when I got to hospital. I love labouring at home but I hope I make it to hospital with a bit more time this time so I am not rushed to the delivery suite lol.
I just hope I can do this with no pain relief, I am sure I can I just have to have the right mind set :) I'm starting to think "bring on the pain!!! I'm looking forward to it"
other that the painless contractions... and not sleeping at all last night, no everythings teh same... ill see doctor in the morning and will clear any doubts :D
Yup, didn't feel labor AT ALL with my son and I was in full blown labor. This time my water broke and I wasn't feeling anything...I think everyone is different. Any new activity?
Maji i was one of those ladies and never thought i would be!
I will be the first to admit, I was in PAIN!!! Because I was only 32 weeks, the doctors tried everything to stop it, so I basically was in full blown labor for 14 hours until they decided they couldn't stop it & did my c-section. Crazy enough though, when I was being prepped for the c-section, I didn't really feel a lot of pain. I think it was because I was being pumped full of so many medicines, I was dazed & didn't fully realize what was going on (and I even fell asleep while they were stitching me up).
With my second son, I was having contractions and was able to talk and everything right through them.. The nurses were shocked that I wasnt acting like I was in more pain, lol. They gave me pitocin and even as they got closer they were a little stonger but totally mangeable. I delivered on a little shot of nubain pain killer and no epidural. I also have an extremely high pain tolerance. I would call your dr. especially with the discharge. Good luck.
I am definately not one of those lucky ones either. Mine are blimmin painful but I girn and bare through them. I sort of remember the pain but then I don't as well. I think I would describe it as severe constipation along with period pains and tightening of the tummy. You will definately know when they really start because they won't go away.
Goodluck :)
Ya there are some lucky woman out there lol when I was working with my OB/GYN there was this woman that smiled and literally didnt make a peep for her whole labour and delivery.... I know I'm not one of those lucky people lol
Not to scare you but some woman dont even feel their contractions. While I was in the hospital to have my c-section for the twins I was having contractions and didn't even notice it. The nurse was like "Do you feel anything?" I said "No" And she said "Well you are having contractions right now". Thankfully I was a lucky one that couldn't feel them. I would see your doctor just to play it safe. Let us know what he says.
that's what i was thinking... i have high pain tolerance (i went through daily pain and swelling of my knee for 3 yrs before i actually did something about it) but i cant really feel anything with these just the tightning of the belly and some pressure down there... i called my doc and waiting for a call back.. (which i probably wont get today)
I would call the dr and make sure they know and everything is ok. Even without an epidural contractions were not the painful horrible out of control pain that everyone tells me. So I think it depends upon your pain tolerance
lol.. i figured i would... and i will thank you!! :D
When it is true labour you will know believe me lol... But you should call your dr and tell him that your having at least 4 an hour he will prob want to check you out...
