morning sickness

I am 8 weeks pregnant with my first kid I'm really excited, except all of a sudden I have been getting really sick starting last week. I need some help because it is now effecting my job and nothing has been working for me, does anyone know good ways to keep from getting sick and feeling so terrible.

If it's in the morning eat crackers or toast before bed, if at night eat foods that aren't real heavy in fats or oils or sweets and eat 6 smaller meals instead of 3 big ones, the biggest thing for actual morning sickness is going to bed on an empty stomach.

Thanks lady's! I will have to try these. Fingers crossed they work for me also. I hope you start feeling better to. A lot of  people are telling me it will start getting better at 3 months I can't wait until then.

Same thing happened to me. Barely had any nausea or vomiting until 8 weeks. I'm now 10 weeks and it's only getting worse. When you feel ok try eating something small, often. I find popsicles help (cyclones are really good and a little sour which is soothing). My nausea and vomiting is also starting to affect my work...hoping it will pass soon. Otherwise might consider taking medication for it.

I'm almost 10 weeks and its been on and off for me. But to keep me from getting too sick I would always try and eat something every 3 to 4 hours bc once my tummy got empty during the day I felt like I was gonna puke. As for morning sickness I wouldwait til it died down and then eat sonething and force it down bc it was the only way to make me feel better. But you can tell your dr if its really bad and they can give you anti nausea medicine.
