how far along were u at first appt?

I am on 5th pregnancy and I am 6w3d and my doc refuses to see me until the end of July for my first doc appointment. I have never gone that long for my first prenatal so just wanted a lil feedback from others how long they waited to be seen. As soon as I got the positive I was 5weeks and I called to schedule my first prenatal and I thought was strange because by time I go see her I will b 11 almost 12 weeks. I am almost thinking I want to find a new doc.

Thats how mine was too. Only i was almost 8 weeks. We were out of town so thats the soonest they could schedule the appt. They seemed to want me in right away which i appreciated since its my first and i had lots of Qs. I'd look for another doc. Why add more stress!

My regular doc isn't seeing patients for another 6 months and the doc I have now just doesn't make me feel very comfortable and she seems like she don't care about my concerns or my thoughts and I feel as if she brushes me off. I am gonna call today and request a diff doc n if they don't switch it then I am gonna switch clinics because I went through this at the same clinic with my second child and its like they don't care and its frustrating.thank you for all the feedback :-)

Every doctor is different. I think waiting so long is weird too. I would be so nervous. I have a friend who her original doctor wanted to wait till 12 weeks to see her so she switched doctors and she is so much happier now. I had my first appointment and blood work at 5 weeks, u/s at 6 weeks, next appointment at 9 weeks, and another u/s at 12 weeks. Make sure you are comfortable with your ob from the beginning.

I had my first one at 5w just to do a blood test for pregnancy. When it was positive I saw my obgyn to get all the basic information because this is my first pregnancy. My next appt isn't until August and I'll be just around 12w. But i'm at a military facility so I don't know if that's normal protocol.

I have a lot of concerns and want to be seen but she refused to see me until end of July which irritated me a lil. Like right now I am having a lot of pain and swelling in my legs. I know that is normal in pregnancy but I have never had it so early in a pregnancy. And I had really low hormone levels which kept giving false negatives and took 4 tests for a positive n by time I got a positive I was 5w3d and that was a faint positive n from a nurse. I'm not sure what to do :'-( kinda scared as I have had a few miscarriages in the past

I was actually right at 4 weeks and 3 days. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and had a transvaginal ultrasound to be sure of the time frame. I didn't have any blood work though. He said he wanted to wait until the 6 week mark to do that so I have a follow up.
