Terbutaline shot...

I'm 37weeks + 2days. I Went in yesterday for contractions & they ended up giving me a shot of Terbutaline & 2 bags of iv fluids. It stopped the contractions for the most part while I was there but since late last night into this morning I have had serious back pain. Has anyone else had any experiences with the terbutaline shot?

That is confusing cause my doctor told me that anytime after 35 weeks they would stop labor but they would help me progress untill 39 weeks

All the nurse told me was that they wanted to try to have me wait. But according to her I'm 90% effaced and my contractions were about 7 mins apart. So I'm unsure.

I went in last week at 35 weeks and they said if my contractions turned into labour they would let me go into labour, so i thought the same as you NatFox.

No experience.  But why are they trying to stop labour?  I thought if you past 37 weeks then they would just let you have the baby.
