Dtap shot??

someone told me I should of had a Dtap shot during the third trimester, is this true?

Yeah i believe my doctor told me that before they would give you the dtap after you gave birth, but that now they are changing it to give it to mothers while theyre still pregnant.

Most likely if you haven't gotten you tap your hospital will offer you one before you go home.  Mine did as part of their standard practice.  You will want one if you haven't gotten one yet.

I've had my flu shot at the doctors now going to ask about the Dtap.

You should deff ask, or let them know you want it. I got the dtap shot as well as the flu shot during this pregnancy as well as my last. Its better to ask then to stay quite.

I'm 3 days away from my due date, i never received that shot, or any shot while i been pregnant. I guess I'll ask the dr about it. And i haven't had any signs that this baby wants to come out. And this will be my second baby.

You should get it soon. I believe I was 38 weeks when I received mine.

Yes it's true. To prevent pertussis (whooping cough)
