did i...? ftm. please help!

Yesterday, as i was getting up off a chair, i did feel a cramping feeling like where i'd get a normal period cramp. It was once and only lasted like 10 seconds. I honestly have no idea if that was a contraction. I haven't experienced any Braxton Hicks (not that i know of..) my entire pregnancy so far. I'm 37 weeks and 1 day. So..does that sound like i had a contraction? I also have been having this kind of uncomfortable pressure-ish feeling in between my legs whenever i sit or squat down. Could somebody please explain how contractions feel and where the feelings should be?

Im having same thing since 37th week and today im 39+3. Sometimes I get a lot of pressure and it even felt like i was sitting on baby's head. I had contractions every 2 min for a 1 minute but these things didn't mean the real thing so far. If you change position, move a bit and it goes away baby isn't ready yet. The best thing is to wait until your contractions are stronger and you can't talk through them.

A contraction is where your whole belly tightens and they have a regular patter braxton hicks are just the same but they have no pattern and go away if you change what you are doing. Im pregnant with my second and this is the first time i have experienced braxton hicks and all i have to say is they are very similar to real cintractions allot of people say they arent cause they dont hurt but everyone is different and they can hurt. So dont feel embarrased if you think you are going into labour but they turn out to be braxton hicks.
